Color: Deep brown. Nose: Roasted nuts. A hint of fruit. Mouth: Dry. Again, roasted nuts. Coconut. A hint of coffee. Some fruit like citrus is lurking in the background. There is a salinity and a freshness like from a chlorinated swimming pool in the sun.

Color: Medium ruby. Nose: Coconut and a hint of caramel. Mouth: Still quite heavy on the coconut side. I mean I love coconut but this more coconut juice than wine. As I am a sucker for coconut I will drink it but my score reflects the quality of this wine which is probably okay but the barrel toasting was way overdone.

I almost feel silly to write just another tasting note on this cheap wine that I bought at Denner. It is extremely good. Aroma of tropic fruits. Floral, too. Almost a soapy aroma that I get from coriander. Smoothness and acidity is extremely well balanced. Very very long finish. It is very dry with a fruity core that tricks our mind to think it has a touch of slight sweetness. There is a salinity, too.

Color: Light yellow. Nose: A mixture between fruity and minty. Reminds me of the "Nordpol" candy from my youth. Mouth: Good expressiveness and length. I had wished for a bit more acidity. Only 12% alc. I can taste green paprika. Nice summer wine.

Color: Medium yellow. Nose: A hint of charred wood. Yellow fruit. Something floral, too. Mouth: Still lively. There is a saltiness.. Excellent expressiveness and length. Some complexity. A hint of honey without the sweetness because this wine is bone-dry at only 12.5% alc. A hint of oranges and pink grapefruit. It tastes very pure. Bought at Denner.

Color: Light to medium yellow. Nose: Charred wood. A hint of fruit. Mouth: I like my vinho verde a tad fresher. Good expressiveness and length. A bit boring but at the same time very pleasant. There is a salty component and an almost sweet one even though this wine has almost no residual sugar. After a while it is getting more fruity and complex. Not bad, at all.

Color: Light ruby. Nose: Red fruit and medicine cabinet. Not bad, at all. Mouth: Light to medium bodied. Very good expressiveness and length. I can taste cherries, too. A hint of bitter almonds. The alc. of 14% is fairly well hidden. Really harmonious. A hint of sweetness but that comes from the fruit not from sugar. Quite typical for Grenache/Cannonoau. I really dig this wine. It has character, too.

Color: Light to medium ruby. Nose: Not that expressive. A hint of red fruit and cherries. Mouth: Medium bodied. Very good expressiveness and good length. A touch of vanilla. The oak is well integrated. Tannins are slightly drying. The alc. of 14% is fairly well hidden. I would drink up.
I just had another bottle: It is really a nice wine and good starting point to explore Bordeaux wines. Hence 2 more points (before 86). At its peak, now.

Color: Transparent ruby. For a Chianti Classico it is very transparent. Nose: Not much going on. Mouth: Light bodied. Fresh. There is fruit. Hard to describe but a mixture betwween red fruit and oranges comes close. Not bad, at all. A bit simple but you can feel that they didn't tinker too much with the wine. It somehow tastes very natural. The 14% alc. is fairly well hidden and just a bit noticeable. The more I am sipping this wine the more I like it. It is really growing on me.

I had what I assume was the last bottle. It was excellent. Still very fresh. Expressive aromas of exotic fruits and a hint of coconut. In the finish a slight noble bitterness.

Color: Light ruby with an orange hue. Nose: Red fruit. Slightly balsamic notes, too. Mouth: Quite grippy tannins that are almost a bit harsh. Medium expressiveness and length. Acidity is also in the higher range. All in all a bit disjointed. The alc. of 14.0% is noticeable. It is getting a bit better while breathing in the glass even though there is a tiny bit of stink in there now.

Color: Light ruby with a purple hue. Nose: Cherries, very nice. Mouth: Concentrated aroma of amarena/maraschino cherries. Lovely! Excellent expressiveness and length. Lean and fresh. 13.5% alc. but not noticeable. A hint of oranges. In terms of deliciousness this wine really goes through the roof. If it was just not that 1-dimensional it would have earned a higher score. I guess it can be stored for much longer but why wait?

Color: Light to medium ruby. Nose: Not giving much away. Mouth: Average expressiveness and length. Not a bad wine though. Fresh. The alc. of 15% is noticeable but still okay. It is getting better while breathing in the glass. And it was getting better and better,.....Hence 4 more points (before 80). In between red and dark fruit. Some dark cherries. Can be stored for at least 4 more years. It is a bit rustic but it tastes like being made in the vineyard and not in the lab.

Color: Light to medium ruby. Nose: Charred wood, red fruit, cherries. Mouth: Lean and tight. Still very fresh. Actually there is more acidity than in the other bottles I had. Still quite noticeable tannins but in a good way. Good cherry aroma. Very good expressiveness and length. I would drink up within the next three years to enjoy it while still fruity. Don't drink too cold! Room temperature is just right otherwise the acidity becomes too predominant.

Color: Light to medium ruby. Nose: Some red fruit and something weird. Mouth: Not pleasant, at all. A dominant taste of something vegetal like underbrush. Thin, too. It will go down the drain. It was not flawed just bad. It deserves solid 60 pts.

Color: Deep ruby/purple. Nose: Dark fruit. Coconut. A hint of spice. Mouth: Full bodied. A tad too much coconut aroma from the barrel for my liking. The fruit is noticeable. Some coffee aroma in the finish. The 14.5% alc. is a tad noticeable. Very good expressiveness and length. It's a crowd pleaser for sure but not quite upon my alley. Nevertheless it is well made. I would drink up. It is getting better while breathing in the glass. Before it felt a tad disjointed. Now there is very tasty cherries and a hint of bitter almond. And the coconut beautifully integrated itself into the wine. I am really liking it, now. Perhaps there is no urge to empty those bottles now.

The 13.5% alc. can be felt a bit. Quite simple and a bit rustic but good. Wouldn't buy again but I will drink up. It was better the next day hence 1 point up (before 83).

Color: Medium ruby. Nose: Strawberries, wild berries. More red fruit than black fruit. Mouth: This tastes like a healthy fruit concoction. Excellent expressiveness and length.Sweet fruit extract. 14.alc. but very well hidden. Very fresh and the tannins are of very good quality. I would drink up as long as it is in its fruit phase i.e. in the next 2 years. I am coming more and more to the conclusion that 2018 was an excellent year in Bordeaux.

I love the harmony in this wine. A hint of cassis, too. The alc. of 14% is very well hidden. I would drink up in the next 3 years. Bought at Coop. It was even better after having spent 2 days in the fridge under "vacuum" hence 3 more point (before 90). Color: Medium ruby/purple. Nose: It is quite subdued. There is some fruit but I can't even tell if is red or dark fruit. Mouth: More expressive on the palate. I still can't pinpoint which fruit so let's go with a mixture of red and dark fruit. Lean and fresh. Very good expressiveness and length. A hint of bitter almond in the finish. For a 2020 it is still quite youthful. After a while I can taste cherries. It is getting better while breathing and warming up in the glass. To drink now or in the next 5 years.

I forgot it in the freezer where the whole bottle froze through. Color: Medium ruby/carmine with a very slight brown hue. Nose: Cherries, Coca Cola. Mouth: Medium bodied. Still very fresh. Excellent expressiveness and length. Carpineto once again is punching way above its weight. I love the typicity. I guess the drinking window extends into the next 3 years. It is at its peak, now so why wait? The half full bottle after a night in the fridge (under "vacuum") is at least as good as in the first day. Hence 1 more point (before 91). I must restock. Not a blockbuster wine but rather "old world" in style. It feels very natural. If the finish was longer it would have passed the 90 points mark. Bought at Coop.

This wine is still going strong which is fascinating considering the price point and I got it for 50% discount. Unlike in my previous TN this time there is no hint of sweetness. Such impressions are influenced by what you're eating. A lot of exotic fruits and pink grapefruit. Very fresh and light. At the same time excellent expressiveness and length.

Color: Light to medium yellow. Nose: This one isn't straight forward. There is an underlying fruitiness and also a salinity like in a sea breeze/wet rocks at the sea. A floral component, too. Pink grapefruit. While breathing in the glass it is getting more and more expressive. Mouth: More subtle on the palate. You think it is almost watery but it is not. In fact the finish is very long. It reminds me of a fresh and light eau-de-toilette for the summer that is lingering for a long time but gives you just a hint that it is there. Like a stroke with a feather. To drink now.
