This remains one of our favorite rosé wines. Bright, lively, friendly. High acid makes it a great wine with many foods.

Pinot Noir is a hard grape for the very restrained style of Matthiasson. This restrained grape is handled delicately in this light tough expression of the varietal. Very clean, light and airy. Probably not to everybody’s taste, but interesting to drink this varietal as it is expressed in the hands of the truly talented Matthiasson.

Absolutely delightful straight out of the bottle! A clear, bright expression of what the Sonoma Coast has to offer.

Unfortunately this is an over oaked wine from Anaba. We have two more bottles and will give them more time to see if the oakiness resolves. Usually Anaba delivers a very clean expression of all grapes, so we are hoping this was specific to this bottle.

This is drinking well now and has many years left on it. A delicious, elegant Syrah with a lively profile of berries, herbs, and crushed violet. We just love Lagier Meredith and drink every bottle with appreciation for their expertise and the TLC they show in their wines. Be sure to decant.

This is getting better with age. A lighter style, minty, with some eucalyptus steady refosco from Matthiasson. Bright and crisp and sturdy. Lovely.

Another beautiful wine from Lagier Meredith. Deeply complex. Floral, dark fruits yumminess. Still has a lot of years on it. Decant.

Great QPR on this very lovely, bright, and increasingly interesting Chardonnay from Buehler. Perfect with Boston butt pork roast marinated in Chardonnay and mustard and oregano and thyme.

Bright, acidic, minty, red berries, rose petals. This is drinking as a beautiful Pinot Noir from La Rochelle - we love the Santa Cruz mountains and this is a great expression of that appellation.

This was our favorite of a set of wines we tried from this producer. Sturdy, bright, complex. Great with red meat. It shines with a longer decant and definitely has age left on it.

Smooth drinking. Surprisingly good — they do a nice job with this relatively inexpensive wine. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it with meatloaf.

We opened this too soon, so our advice is to wait. That said, this field blend is a gorgeous, complex, surprising wine that has whimsy and substance woven throughout. Rosy, minty, berry forward with delightful eucalyptus notes. Absolutely a winner.

This is a decent gsm made in a riper style than we generally love, but it is reliably good and the various flavors are well integrated.

This is a solid, not overly boisterous, Cab blend from Mullan Road Cellars. With cab Sauv, cab franc, and merlot, this blend has a lovely complexity that is surprisingly mellow and well resolved. We opened it and let it come to temperature for two hours, but did not decant. Decanting would give better results up front, we think.

This is a deeply delicious, somewhat tannic, high acid, beautiful Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. We decanted for two hours. This wine has lots of time left on it. Here is what we taste: blackberry, orange peel, slate, light tobacco, and a lovely, well integrated, long finish.

Wonderful wine for a perfect QPR! A blend of five indigenous grapes from. Corsica. Light to medium body, beautiful ruby color, I’d say it is most like a match up of Sangiovese with more acidic island-typical grapes. Based on two prior reviews, this apparently isn’t to everybody’s liking. If you like Blaufrankisch or other more northern varieties, you’re more likely to find this pleasing

A lovely California style Carignan from Big Basin. Dark fruits, forest floor and sage all in the mix here. Very bright and acidic. We had it with spaghetti and red sauce. Probably would have benefited from a pairing with a little more fat..maybe sausage or bacon also in the sauce for example.

This is getting better with age. If only that applied to humans as well! Deep, luscious, fully expressive. It’s amazing a coastal Syrah can be this richly robust.

This is a gorgeous wine after a good decant. Lovely deep color, bright berry and red plum against a sturdy backbone. On the fuller side of medium bodied. We have two more bottles and I think this will only improve with age. Can’t wait.

This is. Bright, berry-forward, nicely balanced Pinot Noir from Gros Ventre. Gallons speaks of it as tightly wound and gamey, but we got none of those unpleasantries. Perhaps age has done the wine well. The entire group thought it superb on a night out with friends.

An exuberantly exquisite wine from Occidental. Elegant, fruit forward and slightly earthy. The color and clarity alone are enough to wow anyone who loves Pinot Noir.

This wine may have been very good at one time, but it is definitely over the hill. Our fault for not drinking it earlier. It would pair perfectly with prunes. Unfortunately, we tried pairing it with salmon.

We thought this drank like an old school, funky Italian wine with volatile acidity that diminished over time. Other reviews make us want to go back and try it again, perhaps letting it get more air before drinking. Funky, slightly bubbly, and a little dusty. Interesting and not your run of the mill Italian import.
