Much better a year later. 90 minutes on decant. Great with grass-fed ribeyes.

Thoughts very similar to WINECPA, but I struggled more with the tannic structure of this wine.

I really like this wine for the price point. Wonderful flavors and well-balanced. Not complex, but just fine for the money.

Very much enjoyed this wine. Surprised every time I open a Zin how much I enjoy it.

Took to dinner party at Stouts. Opened while out on the pontoon boat. Did not finish during the evening, so took home and finished on Sunday, 9/28. We enjoyed this wine at the winery, but not so much after having it shipped home. Won't buy again.

Hard to disagree with the comments posted so far, and will add my own surprise at seeing the wine so cloudy. Was glad to see the same observation from others because I had originally considered the possibility that I had perhaps somehow mishandled the wine. Honestly, my enjoyment of the wine was hampered by the cloudiness, but still pleasant and a great QPR.

Fruity, as you would expect from a Zin, but complex enough, and a good, dry finish, to overcome the immediate sense that you might be drinking a jammy wine. Good black pepper notes. I would buy this again, but it's a little pricey for this level of Zin quality.

I was a tiny bit generous with my score last time. But my comments remain unchanged.

Spectacular QPR! The friend who gave this to me told me he paid $8.99 at Costco. Amazing.

The wine looks rosy colored, pink at the edge. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. Light to medium body with a relatively smooth texture. The wine has low acidity and is very easy drinking. Spectacular QPR.

Paired very well with grass-fed T-bone. Quite pleasant and easy drinking. Totally agree with the comment on decanting. The first bottle of this we drank did not get that treatment, but this time I gave it about an hour in decanter in my cellar and it was very mellow indeed.

I like this wine a lot. Surprising to think with a Chardonnay, but I wonder if a little time has helped this wine.

Do not agree with the "tannic" comment. I find this wine extremely well-balanced even now, but I also look forward to giving it some more time to become the best it can be.

Really enjoyed this wine with dinner tonight. Paired extremely well with barbeque chicken (lots of sauce), baked sweet potato topped with cinnamon and chili powder, and stewed kale with cranberries and onions. Based on comments from 2011 I'd say this wine improved some with a little more time in the bottle. But definitely not a sipping wine; this wine is best with proper food pairing.
The body is light/medium.
