Great wine, showing really well at the 24 year mark. The finish improved with an hour in the bottle while the nose and palate were great right away. Berries as well as spicy and balsamic notes. Very good. Drink.

Powerful blend. Intense nose of spices. Balanced body with notes of pepper, floral , dark fruit. Great finish. In its prime but a few more years could make this 95+

Drank at restaurant. Absolutely stunning. Full bodied from the start, and the finish kept getting better with each glass. Has 97-99 potential once it gets to it’s prime

Classic CC. Definetely needed the 2 hour decant. Still not in it’s prime yet. Does have potential though. The 2011 will probably show a little better.

Drank at byow, little to no airtime, yet it showed very well right off the bat. Good value and should drink well over next 5 years. Solid CC

Last vintage before the Gran Seleziome desgination was added. 1.5 hour decant, phenomenal at this stage, palate offered earth tones, minerals, dried fruit. Gave off a bit of a brunello vibe. Can surely go for a few more years

94-95... very special chianti. great vintage drinking really well now but should improve , dark color and notes of dark cherry and plum. Decanted 45min

Phenomenal. Drank it at La Pizza Fresca in NYC. Needed time to open but once it did, astonishing flavors of earth and berries. The finish felt like it went on for several seconds. I went into it thinking it might be past its window, but I was wrong. Top wine every year and probaly one of if not the best Gran Selezione right now.

Great chianti with many years left on it, but could still taste the effects of over 2 years in cellar. 1 hr decant . The brunello-esque color, nose and finish really brought out the sangiovese's oak and dark berry notes. Paired perfectly with a bolognese sauce. This 25$ Chianti will be truly special in 5-10 years
