So fresh, but mature at the same time. Wonderful. The Cab Franc really comes through

Vastly better than a year ago. Perhaps it was a bad bottle. Ample serving of sour cherry. Good food wine.

Best bottle yet. More integrated and the prior green/steminess was much more resolved. All these Clarendons are really built to age. Lots of life left.

Thin, tart and astringent. Honestly, not very enjoyable at this point. I hope that some additional age will round this out a bit.

From magnum. Lots of extract but far too little acidity or other structure. Boring and disappointing for the price.

Loads of fine sediment. Need to stand up for a few days and/or decant slowly.

Not great. I don’t think it was flawed, just not very good. My wife and mother-in-law used terms like “sewer” “hotel swimming pool” and “cucumbers” to describe the nose and pallet. I didn’t go that far but you get the idea.

Unbelievable value. Drinks like a Premier Cru Burg. Outstanding now and likely to get better.

Flat as Kansas. Not objectionable or flawed, just way short of acid and persona. Drink or cook with now, all downhill from here (and probably was never high on the hill to begin with).

Ably made but lacking much enjoyment factor for me. It’s the vinous version of a stern though competent governess.

Really distinctive. A feral, animal quality from some brett and a tightrope act of tannins and fruit executed with poise.

A clear tobacco/cigar note on both bottles tasted so far. Delightful wine and fabulous value.

Strikingly floral tonight, which is not an experience I've ever had with PS before. Both my wife and I got it quite strongly. Tannins seem fully resolved and the wine is certainly singing at the moment, albeit in a somewhat unusual key.

A fabulous wine. Luminous on Day 1 - sunshine-y fruit, deft acidity and a ton of joie de vivre. Lost a few miles per hour came off the fastball on the next day, though certainly still a quality drink.

First day this was a bit gangly and ill fitting, a teenager work in progress. Second day featured much better integration and was delicious with simple salmon and green beans. Decant a few hours of ley ‘em sit longer.

I found this wine very well balanced, with a deliciously refreshing streak. A bit of menthol and a deftness of body - rinkside in the cool winter sun in Innsbruck, watching some high quality figure skating. I really enjoyed it. Ready to drink from my experience.

Does what it says on the label. A fuller, 'redder' rose, which went down quite nicely over lunch on a hot spring day.

In a great spot. Just delicious. Still has the ol' Sagrantino brawn but is very drinkable. Fantastic wine.

Still really good. In fact, remarkably good for the rock bottom price I paid 6 years ago. The CellarTracker drinking window seems to short to me, as this had held up quite well and still had a lot of life. I'm sure it won't keep indefinitely, but don't worry about drinking any you may have lurking in the cellar.

Started with a Coravin pour as I wasn’t sure this was ready. So delicious I ended up pulling the cork. Controlled funk, scale and power. Ready out of the bottle but then got even better. Fantastic.

A beast of a wine. This is dark side of the moon stuff. Would likely benefit from time in the bottle to tame its power a bit.

Absolutely outstanding. This bottle far outperformed the prior one from a year or so ago. The nose was entrancing with terrific fruit and savory elements in the mouth. Feels like peak here. Delicious.

Outstanding, once again. This is a fabulous wine in a great place. One of the best grenache I've had as it has a depth and profundity that I often find lacking in grenache. Just incredible value at the $18 I paid. Drinking perfectly now. I'd recommend nearer term consumption.

Good, not great. I prefer the 'normal' bottling from this producer. Certainly not over extracted or too heavy and has some soul, just not enough oomph or interest for me.

Steely and crisp. No rush on these and a great value at the $20 paid.

Very tasty, though much better on its own than with food (carbonnade, green beans). Became too sweet with food. I think the young vines are showing here, as there wasn't a ton of tannin, just a lot of lush oak and fruit. A hedonistic sort of wine. I decanted for a few hours but this is probably a good pop and pour candidate at this stage. Lacks the structure to hold for too long, so drink 'em up and enjoy now.

Very interesting wine. Clearly an aged wine, though plenty left in the tank. Still has some tannic spine so god only knows what sort of a beast this was when it went in the bottle. Today: earthy, leather, nice with food. Fine sediment so stand up for a few days and decant carefully. Enjoyable experience.

This is drinking really well now. Certainly has the guts to hold, but seems like it's finally into its drinking window. Has a wild charm with acid and tannins all over the place and a certain southern Italian herbal/volcanic x-factor. The nose is magic.
