I’m a sucker for oaked Chardonnay but this is next level, after one hour in the glass this wine excelled to perfection. I visited this winery last year and all the wines are great. I’m a fan.

Fake bottle, be aware. Was corked St. Julien 1983, the original wine was obviously too Old. Pity.

Nice fruity and oaky Mercurey, can mature for at least 5 years but why bother because it’s already delicious today.

Didn’t want to burn all my cash in Meursault the first days of my winetrip so bought this modest gem, not as oaky as I remembered. Typical chardonnay but fruitdriven, fresh and acidic. Approachable fresh Burgundy white.

At almost 5 years of age this wine is shining, tropical fruit, good acidity and well integrated oak. This wine is, like Burgundy can be, not made for elegance looking at the alcohol percentage, a staggering 14%! Great wine, pity that not al lot of shops sell this wine in The Netherlands.

Drank it with my son at his 18th birthday, nice citrus and toasty notes. Great champagne.

Classic chardonnay, tropical fruit, good acidity and subtle oak. Affordable Chassagne-Montrachet from a great vintage for white Burgundies.

This is one fine wine, lots of black fruit, insane concentration en well incorperated wood. Yes it needs more time but drinks well already.

Drank with my wine friends, this was te best red wine I drank so far. Classic Pauillac powerhouse with tons of red and black fruit accompanied with toasty barrique. This wine had a long life ahead. Next year another one so we can see how this wine develops.

Good but not great, not worth the 40 euros. At first a little oxidized smell, later a decent smell of raspberry and wood. Due to the medium finish not a higher score.

Like previous mentions, this wine is in it's numb fase. Yes you can taste some red fruit like cherry en forrest fruit but earthieness is the dominant flavour. This needs some time before it will be excellent. Drink after 2020.
Still have 3 bottles so I see what happens.

Good but not great, colour red/brown and a bouquet of red fruit, spices and wood. Typical merlot taste of wet forestfloor, medium bodied. Maybe not well stored by previous owner(s).

Ripe red fruit, wood and spices on the palette. The wine is from a prefect vintage for cabernet sauvignon, medium/full bodied. Yes it is a second wine but still great. One from twelve, can't wait to pop another one.

Bouquet of ripe red fruit, pencilshavings, wood and spices. Secundairy aromas like wet forrest floor and wet leaves are comming throught so if you do have any bottles in your cellar, drink them now.

This wine is young, nice bouquet but after tasting the wine the fruit is hidden and I can only taste wood, tannines and acidity. This wine needs more time.

Bouquet of young red fruit and spices. On the pallette mature red fruit, acidicy medium plus and a long finish. A good effort for this new world Shiraz.

2004 Château de Rayne-Vigneau Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
At first I drank it as an aperitif, didn't hold up. Candied fruit, burned nuts and a minerally finish.
During diner with foie gras and blue cheese changed my opinion, it turned out to be a great foodpairing wine. Nevertheless, I don't think I will buy this wine again.
