This is way to Jammy for me- basically Welches grape juice. No depth or complexity, just grape juice.

This is not really a good representation of a Loire Pouilly Fume, it’s a decent clone of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc…if you like that sort of thing. Too much Grapefruit. I’ve had a dozen bottles of better Pouilly Fume and Sancerre.

Wine has past it’s prime and is a bit off. Ethyl acetate is clear on the palate.

This is a very nice Sancerre. Nice hit of apricot. Great acidity, was wonderful with fresh crab.

A bit citrus heavy, but a nice body. Some tart stone fruit flavors.

This is almost more beer than Champagne. Yeasty, yes. A bit of citrus…uh huh. I think if you put it head to head with a Wit Bier, might not be able to distinguish it.

It is, as the name would suggest, oaky, but not pleasantly so. More terpene than balanced oak and little else. Goes funky if you don’t drink on one night.

When this was first opened, it was a nice more or less typical Picpoul. Decent for the price. Some citrus, a bit of tart cherry, some clove. The bottle was vacuum sealed and opened the next day - it had turned into a Citrus bomb and nothing else - if you like that sort of thing great, I won’t be going here again. So many much better Picpoul out there, even in a box - try Petite Frog.

This is nicely mineral with lots of layers. Too young now hold until 2026 at least.

They did it, made a Malbec that I didn’t like! Notes of citrus and sweet. One drinks this and thinks Merlot, not Malbec. Really disappointing.

Wonderful Bordeaux style wine with real depth. Good fruit balanced with oak.

Fruity, jammy, cheap merlot cab blend. Welches in a glass.

This is the driest harshest red wine I’ve ever had. First sip actually made me cough!

Wow, for the price this is terrific. Dry, smooth, balanced tannins. Nice dark cherry and leather.

Amazing. Yeasty, yet crisp without citrus. Unmistakable “aged” taste and mouth feel. Stone fruit and floral. No harsh edges.

This was #2 on Total Wines top 20 list. Very fruit forward and jammy. Low tannins. A little oak. Airs well, quite drinkable at this price point.

Oaky, smoky, great stone fruit. Good drinkable inexpensive Chardonnay. Paired well with English cheddar and toasted sourdough. Really easy to drink. Won’t knock your socks off, but good daily drinker.

First and last - Earthy! If you like that, go for it. The tannins overpower the fruit structure which I found a bit thin. Two hours in a decanter helps, but the tannins and earthy notes overtake. Comes through “hot” - 14% alcohol and you taste it. Some cherry in there, chalky flint in the finish. Ended up being used as a cooking wine for a pot roast. Won’t be going there again even at this price point ($17).

A bit too fruit forward for a cab franc, could easily mistake this for a Merlot blend. Some tannins, leather, but not a typical cab franc.

I really like Picpoul in general. Not this one. Too much citrus, not enough spice and minerality. One expects acidity from a Picpoul- the acid on this is just out of balance for me.

I like this. Very nice daily drinker with great fruit without being too “jammy”. No sharp edge, very balanced.

Nice Chardonnay with slight overtones of tart cherry. A real surprise.
