Can't say I understand this wine yet. Tried several bottles of it but they all have been hardly anything more than alcohol infused cranberry juice. I basically don't recognize Thierry's hand this time around. I wonder if it's now made by his son. Just so different from the gorgeous stuff of previous vintages. Sad. I will put to rest the remaining bottles to see if anything changes. Luckily I have plenty to revisit every once in a while to see if there is any improvement.

After the gorgeous 2011 this one was a disappointment. Just your generic, middle of the road Champagne, and too expensive for that. I agree with some reviewers here that it needs lots more time. Released too early. It's a waste to open it now. Good lesson for me. I'll be going through notes here, on cellartracker.com more carefully before committing to a purchase. Oh well...I know better now than to purchase 2012 anytime soon.

Beautiful Champagne, gorgeous delicate nose of jasmine, faint citrus and almond. The bubbles are tiny but very energetic. Delicious wine!

No decant, just popped and poured. Not even a hint of brown on the color in the glass. The nose is very complex with some forest bramble and wild blackberry. The tannins are silky smooth, nice acidity that will help carry this wine through at least another 10 years, beautiful black berry assortment, a bit of unoffensive menthol, that is there but not prominent, just enough for a very interesting combination. I am glad I have several more bottles to enjoy in my cellar. This is probably the best 2nd label Saint-Emilion wine I've ever tasted. Amazing!

Fantastic wine, so glad I purchased quite a bit of it at the time when rating was still so-so. It's evolving into a real beauty with lots of earthy flavors but the fruit is beautiful too. Still young. Will keep tasting until it's gone.

Delicious! Very short decant. Smoky, lots of exotic black fruit on the palate. Long finish.

Really interesting nose with lots of crushed stone minerality and some exotic herbs. On the palate it's all tart cherry. Not much anything else. Perhaps needs some time. Overall it's a pleasing is unusual wine. Will re-taste it on day 2.

I never gave a wine such low score. This wine is not good. Smells and tastes like sugar free pomegranate juice from your supermarket health food section. One-dimentional does not describe this wine. There is no dimention here period. I remember reading a winemaker’s note on 2015 vintage. He said, the grapes were so good, if you didn’t make good wine that year, you probably should leave this business. Totally agree with him on this one. Save your $$.

Pretty nice and easy drinking at this point. Took a little bit of time to coax the flavors out but I didn't decant. Just popped and drank. Overall I prefer 2011 over 2012 in this wine. In the future I will probably forgo the Reserva. Not worth the $50+ price tag imho but it was fun to try it.

Definitely a medicinal and summery greens nose. Very interesting and kind of intoxicating in a way. But unfortunately it does not translate into the same interesting stuff on the palate. Tasted just like any other not very special Volnay, and definitely not a good value, IMHO. Maybe it's too early to drink. Alas, I won't know this for I am not purchasing another one of these. Good for a try but not much beyond that.

This was a great bottle of pinot, first by this producer. Elegant, perfumed with delicate flowery notes and delicious wild forest floor berries. Long finish. Just excellent in all aspects. Purchased more to savor.

It took awhile to open up but once it did it was really lovely. Floral and ripe stone fruit nose. Nice acidity and silky, well integrated tannins. Dark plum and a little bit of strawberry on the palate along with the whiffs of sun warmed stones and mineral inflected rocks. Delicious. Ready to drink although still benefits from some airing and/or decant.

Oh, how I wish I had more of this wine! Beautiful violets and summery underbrush on the nose. Round, juicy red and black fruit on the palate, with long lasting finish. Silky tannins. Excellent.

Definite Saint-Emilion dust there along with lots of dark semi-ripe fruit and menthol on the palate. Very long finish. Beautiful wine if a bit higher in alcohol than my taste. Has just started its drinking window, imho. Lots of life ahead.

Graphite and dark fruit on the nose. Very complex. Dark fruit, plenty of acidity and rather smooth tannins on the palate. Very long finish. Beautiful. Will age for quite some time. Needs some time to aerate at this point.

Bone dry and very mineral. Flint and linden flower on the nose. Excellent expression of Chablis terroir. Too bad I bought only 1 bottle:(

One of my favorite affordable Burgundies. Very floral nose, red berries on the palate. Silky smooth tannins and bright but not harsh acidity. Just enough to give the wine a nice lift. Drinks beautifully.

Popped the cork and drank it. It's my all time favorite American Cab. Very terroir driven wine. Excellent all around. Alas, this was our last 2010 bottle. Will miss it. Full body. Rutherford dust on the nose and palate. Smooth, silky tannins, nice acidity balance, dark suave fruit. Love it!

Not sure about this one as the 1st day it had distinctive metallic notes on the palate. Read about it before but first time I experienced it in Burgundies. Was better on day 2 but still not very exciting wine. Definitely not worth $55/bottle I paid. Other wines by this producer were much better, I must say, especially Volnay.

Nice red fruit and forest foliage palate. A bit too short on finish. Not your complex pinot but very decent and pleasant to just sip on. Not sure if it's a good buy at $44/bottle though. I've had much better Burgundies than this Oregon Pinot.

Really coming together nicely. Probably my favorite Cab from California, on a par with Frog's Leap Rutherford Cab. Alcohol is a bit on a high side for my taste (14.2%) but it's all integrated very well by now. Lots of very concentrated, aromatic sweet, ripe raspberries and red cherries on the nose followed by long supple finish. Mildly green forest floor notes. Just a gorgeous wine.

Very cherry on the nose (morello) and palate, as well as some faint flowery notes. Popped and drank. It's an early drinker. Easy to enjoy (if one can forget about the price tag)))

Drinking beautifully now. Tried first bottle a couple years ago, and it was good but nothing to brag about. Glad I saved the rest till now. Medium bodied with enchanting black fruit and floral notes. Really enjoyable wine. Will buy again.

Lush beautiful wine. A bit astringent and green at the opening but a wonderful transformation happened as the wine breathed. After about 2 hours all the green notes have dissipated and replaced by beautiful violets, soft red fruit mingled with a little anise. Just gorgeous! Long, lingering finish. I am going back to stock up on it.

Bad, rotten cork. Disappointed.
The wine looks purple colored. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like acetic acid.

Very aromatic with morello cherry and, can I say, silicon, on the nose? Pretty structured with excellent acidity and mineral notes keeping the fruits lively but in check. Beautiful fresh tasting wine. Will buy again.
