Bottle had a slight spritz on the palete - unusual for these bottlings. Gave it a little "Fourrier Shake" and that really settled it down and opened it up. That said, I don't think this was a representative bottle unfortunately and was seemingly slightly flawed.

You could really feel that there was so much here, but it’s currently all wrapped up in its structure. It’s not showing a tonne at this stage, but you get glimpses of the meaty peppery goodness underneath.

PnP. Slight matchstick reduction and lovely oak spicing on the nose. Ripe fruit bordering on tropical - but not necessarily in the forefront. Medium-bodied with a nice clean, fresh finish, just lightly accented by the oak. Lovely wine. At CAD$60, this is the definion of QPR (as far as white burg goes).

Disappointing. At first, it was very shy. Some bright red cherries on the nose and pallet, with a very short finish. On Day 2, it opened - but opened to have a very vegetal nose that is almost pickled. Maybe Asparagus. Palate is fresh - but dominated by the green - not pickled this time, but more minty fresh. Regardless, not in line with any previous d'Angerville experience. I'm glad this was my only bottle.

Splash decanted. This wine was open and generous from the get-go. Fairly strong seductive aromatics of intense red fruit, although definitely showing its time in barrel. The plush, sappy red fruit may be a little overwhelmed at the moment by the toasty oak, but regardless, a very enjoyable bottle of wine (which is unfortunately my only bottle).

The best vintage of this wine I have had - though only having tasted it since 2015. Just incredible grace and detail with discreet sweetness followed by a mineral and saline finish. This wine is kabinett as it should be.

Lemon curd with a nice acid backbone. Right in the prime for my tastes. This was a real treat.

Not what I expected. Lots of dark red and black fruits. Not much in the way of acidity or tannin. Structure lacking. Not what I was anticipating from 2005.

Still very alive. Excellent wine. Tertiary flavours galore. Still a little bit of fruit left.

Great bargain Bordeaux! Phenomenal balance. Will continue to get better for some time.

Not overly complex, but well done for a Bourgogne. Lots of red fruit up front, especially sour cherry and cranberry. Not too much terroir shows through here, but great value.

Black and blue fruit up front with some pepper on the finish.
