we had it coming back from our two year anniversary trip to minneapolis. It was one of my first times having an incredibly vintage champagne but the flavors were spot on.

A bit youthful, alcohol a bit unbalanced but once it opened up drank beautifully with ripe red berries, black berries and some green bell peppers and a long pleasing finish. should have drank in 2017-2018.

Again had this with my beautiful wife - this wine opened up tremendously, i did not like it when I first had it, but once we gave it time - this is a quintessential pinot noir, red flowers, earth, spice, oak, cinnamon and a long, pleasing finish, would love to have this again.

The 2012 de Pez opens with distinctly savory, ferrous notes. Rose petal, scorched earth, cedar and tobacco are all super-expressive in the glass. Firm tannins give the wine much of its energy and overall tension. The tannins are a bit burly and in need of time to settle down. This dark, brooding Saint-Estephe could turn out to be one of the surprises of the year.

WHAT AN AMAZING WINE - had it with my beautiful wife as we were invited to a preopening of a local restaurant. Great bottle age, nice acidity and some fruit left in the wine, what a great white wine. "Elegant and seductively attractive white flower fruit aromas lead to medium weight, round and open flavors that offer acceptable length and a pretty touch of minerality.

Very dark, red, on the purple side but with a surprising bit of bricking at the rim, from appearance you can't tell if this is young or old. The aromatics on this are wonderful, with cooked blueberry, ripe plum, and plenty of cinnamon, allspice, vanilla, and a sprinkle of black pepper. The palate is big, fruitful and smooth, with tannins that are partially resolved, but still present, smooth, and silky. The acidity is a little on the low side, but there's just enough to cut through a meal, and the alcohol, sometimes a problem on 2007 CdP, is well-restrained on this wine (14% ABV on the bottle). The finish is medium length, but smooth and delicious.
