This has really come around nicely since my last bottle and very much in the drinking window. Needed a little air and was wonderful with some steaks! Glad I have one more bottle!

This is in a sweet spot right now in the drinking window. Community has it drink until 2024....it's got a couple more years for sure.

This was a standout year for Austin Hope and definitely in the prime drinking window - very nice and good body.....then they jacked up their prices.

Still a favorite....but just past its peak I think.

Some time in the cellar has definitely helped this vintage along nicely. Deep Burgundy and great body for this price point. Glad I have a few more.

Opened up nicely after about an hour of air! Solid Napa Cab!

A little concerned when we opened it as the nose just didn't seem right. A drink said it was okay and really took some time for this to open up. I would say this needs an hour + of air right now to bring itself together.

8 People - Spring Mountain AVA Blind tasting with 4 different bottles/wineries from Spring Mtn - three 2018 and one 2017....yes we poured 32 wine glasses all at once for the blind. The Juslyn averaged 3rd place with a Newton SM in last place for all and Barnett on top for most with a Kukeri '17 sitting in second. The Kukeri though we believe is a NDA. Everyone placed the Barnett above the Juslyn, however all were very good.

I would say the Juslyn needs another year or two as it opened up it got better.

Just entering the drinking window and showing very nicely. Needed some air to find itself and I'll sit on the others for several more years

Nice easy drinking Napa Cab. Not very complex, a nice nose, and with a little air - this is drinking well now and very enjoyable. 90 now and 91-92 likely in a few more years.

This bottle disappointed a bit with quite a bit of heat even after an hour decant. Maybe needs more time than I thought based on past bottles - but this seems in a transitionary stage right now.

Still very young, if drinking now, needs some air/decanting for 1-2 hours. Even just 30 mins in the glass started to show the beauty this will become. I'll add several to the cellar!

Solid Napa Cab but needs a bit more time in the cellar. If drinking now, recommend an hour decant as it opens up nicely and pairs really well with a nice steak! At this price, QPR may be a bit off as I’ve had a lot of similarly well done cabs for $20-$40 less.

Had this in a 4 Bottle Blind tasting of 4 mountain AVA's (that was really fun). Spring, Veeder, Howell, and Atlas. This was the oldest of the wines, but was the tightest which was strange. Needed a good hour to start opening up and that it did. I have a couple more that I will sit on before trying again.

Decanted for about 30 minutes and opened up further as we drank it. Well worth the wait as this was wonderful and paired with fillet’s. Great balance and integration and lovely all around. The time is right for drinking this in a 750ml, magnum likely needs more time. Wish I have a few more!

This vintage is performing very well and consistent, other years not so much. We had this with pre-cooked Costco ribs and it paired wonderfully with the ribs and seasoning.

Starting to show well, although tannins are still a bit grippy. A little bit of air will do this well, but I'll wait on my final 2 for another few years. Also had a fair amount of sediment as well.

Editing note from July 14 2022 Note after visit to winery. Our winery rep stated that the ‘16 Onyx was an unfiltered wine and that sediment could be higher than normal in addition to still being pretty bold - so a filter or cheese cloth could be beneficial if you don’t like sediment and a short decant as well would help. I don’t remember getting sediment when I tried our first bottle in ‘21 though.

1st bottle of the '18's. Improved after being opened for about an hour and may need just a bit more time to find itself. We thought maybe just a little thin or light on the front end right now. I'll try another in about a year.

Our wine dinner club did a vertical with a '12, '14, and '16 that was really fun. All three wines were thoroughly enjoyed with the '12 and '16 standing above the '14 unanimously. '12 and '16 were also similar in overall taste profile with the '12 being more mature. Ranking went '12, '16, '14!

Good bones and value…but a little too early yet - needs some air! This was a test bottle to see I wanted to add more and easy answer is yes! I’ll be adding more to the cellar. Probably won’t open another until ‘23 or ‘24.

My first O' and it didn't disappoint at all! Quite nice and very approachable now. We drank this and then a '15 Napa Silver Oak and the O came out on top as our favorite. Very good QPR.

This is a big full bodied wine that needs some air. I think it's just entering it's drinking window and will only improve and evolve for many years to come.
