My first O' and it didn't disappoint at all! Quite nice and very approachable now. We drank this and then a '15 Napa Silver Oak and the O came out on top as our favorite. Very good QPR.

Had this along with several Spring Mountain Winery Cabs during the evening dinner event and very enjoyable - but not sure it measured up to our SM wines.

Community has this past its drinking window but it is spot on right now and really nice! Evolved nicely and has another year or two left to enjoy.

This is a big full bodied wine that needs some air. I think it's just entering it's drinking window and will only improve and evolve for many years to come.

Had this along side a Myriad Cab. Myriad wins but not by much, less complex than Myriad but smoother and more approachable earlier.

Decanted this time around, big improvement as this definitely needs some air right now. Full body, complex, and spicy!

Drank this along side a Spring Mountain 2016 also and the Nickel definitely stood above. A little more organized but definitely on the early side but showing really well and needs some air. Wish I had more in the cellar.

91 now with potential to 92/93. This is really nice and a long finish. Needs a little more time get organized on the back end....but wow - another great effort by Smith Madrone!!!

Needs more time...very nice on the front end but heavy on the tannins. Needed some air and probably another year or two in the cellar to find itself!

Had this at a blind tasting and it ended on top in this price range. Better than the '14 for sure and adding a few to the cellar!

MEH! Decanted for about 45 min. Not very complex and a bit scattered with a very simple finish. There are better choices for sure in this price range.

Definitely good bones - but needs air right now. This was a first for this winery and after popping and pouring....it really started to show after an hour or so. I have two more and will wait a few years to enjoy those.

Oh my - really starting to shine now. Typically I find SM's don't really start to show well until about the 8-10 year mark and this is well integrated and ready for prime time!

Delicious! Short decant and enjoyed over the next 2 hours! I think this is really just entering it's early drinking window!

Solid and smooth. Going with a 90/91 as I think it's still just a bit young and needs another year or two to find itself. Really glad I have more in the cellar!

90 now and young - likely will evolve to 91+ and thus a great value and worth adding several bottles to the cellar at this price point.

Definite improvement from a year ago for Bottle #2 and starting to show nicely. Lot's of cherry and the finish really lingers. Last glass was better than the first on this bottle - so perhaps some air if drinking now!

Very well received with some friends last night! Drinking well now - but could use perhaps another year in the cellar. Scoring a bit high I think for right now, but will get there in a few more years - good bones!

Drinking nicely now and well received at a wine party where we had Stags Leap, Silver Oak, and Spring Mountain. Paired nicely with raviolis.

Bottle 1 of a half case. Good bones but needs some time to integrate. If drinking now - needs some air for perhaps an hour or so....delicious now.....better in a few years.

First time trying this - PNP - an overall decent Napa Cab in this price range and I would keep a couple on hand. Easy drinker and enjoyable although not overly complex.

Definitely needs some air to find itself and I probably won't open another one for 1-2 years. Solid Napa Cab if you can find it on sale.

PNP and drinking well at this time.....solid effort, not overly complex - but perhaps not at $75 - more like a ~$50 bottle which is what we paid as there are much better choices in that $75 price range.

Solid 90+ and one of the better Pinot's I've had! Not a huge fan of Pinot's - but I'll buy a few more for sure! We did this with 4 couples as a blind sampling - but both were 2018 Patricia Green's (same wine - wink)....the only difference was one was chilled and one was room temp. The chilled won across the board! Sure - it was a nice warm day in Colorado - but hey - worth a try in the summer...chill it a bit - it was fantastic!

Not ready for prime time just yet and somewhat simple. I'd wait another year before trying another. It was good and enjoyable.....but I thought the '16 had more going for it!

Decanted for 3 hours....yikes.....very disappointed and very uneventful for an $80 bottle. The last few years I've enjoyed Caymus even on the early side of the release.....not this time though. I thought it was thin and even a bit bitter and not at all organized. I have 3 more in the cellar and won't touch those for at least 2 years.
