Very nicely nuanced pinot. Lots of depth and structure but still light on its feet. Well done.

A full throttle wine that is very well made but pushes outside the typical pinot boundaries at this point, to me. Time may notch this up for what I like.

A leaner style of zin at 13.9% with balanced fruit and spice. Not very complex but enjoyable with our pizza. Drink or hold.

Really nice wine. Cab franc based, I believe, and hits high marks across the board.

Nice wine, but it seems like the fruit's fading probably was best a few years ago but still super tasty.

With some air this really shined. Great depth and complexity. At or maybe even slightly past peak. Time to drink up. Really enjoyed. Message me if you need help.

Fruit is more subdued now and tannins have softened. Still dark n meaty but also has a delicate essence to it. Which is surprising considering the high alcohol. Could hold but don't see any upside.

This bottle was from a different source and more tired than recent bottle. 1 more to go. Probably won't wait long.

Still nice easy drinking wine but seemed to lack complexity on this occasion. Could have been me or the food I was eating along with it.

I have no clue as to previous reviews saying fruit is gone ect ect this wine shined tonight in ots best 16 year old way. Great nose. Mellowed fruit approach and layered mid pallette. A bit soft and not a lot of complexity but overall a great drinking experience. From a magnum. Yum.

Very impressed with this chard. Lots of depth and intensity but also delicate and has finesse. This is how I like my chards. Mineral and acid surrounding pure and beautiful fruit super good. Bravo.

Nice chard overall. Drank with fresh dungeonese crab and French bread. Ceasar salad. Yummy. 91

Edit:saved a glass in a 150ml and enjoying tonight and it is really tasting special. Maybe the crab wasn't the best match because solo this shines even brighter. I'd go 93+ on this revisit. Amazing nose. Layers upon layers in the mouth. Balanced and lingering finish. Wow!!

Adjusting score to average the two experiences

An easy drinking pinot and considering the price, i would say this is quite good. Definitely get some toasty oak intertwined with a cranberry spice mouth. Smooth and balanced with a moderately short but pleasant finish. Probably time to drink but it could hold here for a few years. Enjoy.

I brought this to a restaurant dinner with friends and it went fast so I did not get to examine too closely. It was my first bottle from an auction purchase and i distinctly recall thinking, whoa, this wine is both powerful and delicate. How can that be. It hits with a great nose and deep flavor and depth but seems to pull back enough to make it seem somewhat delicate. We enjoyed with a range of food and it perferformed well with all.

A big full bodied pinot. Does show some restraint though and overall is very nice. Probably at the back end of its ideal window for my pallette. Overall very enjoyable and held up to a steak dinner.

Still fairly youthful at 18 plus years. Pours dark with no bricking. Big voluptuous mouth. Fruit intact and there are layers of complexity but the 15.7 alcohol also show which slightly detracts from the overall experience.

Very enjoyable chard. Nice nose. Some fruit up front but quickly transitions to minerals and some acid in the mid pallette. Decent finish. Probably in a good place to drink. Can't see any upside to holding. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Happy way beyond price point on this one. I recall $20+- a few years and believe some decent ratings prompted the purchase and it is a steal. Nice fruit but not too much. Fine grainy tannin but not too much. Some acid and a lingering finish. Glad I have more. 92+

This was the most tight of 3 2018's in the tasting. Definitely has the potential to notch up several points with time. Maybe a longer decant would have helped also. Still highly enjoyable and tasty.
