Very nice wine, apprachable, decent price point (39 euros), complex, big, inky, not too hot. Ripe tannins, smooth integration, nice mouthfeel.

Apparently just recently released, the wine is totally approachable now. Classic syrah tones, nice, big, not too fruity. Will surely benefit from some time in the cellar. At $40, this is a great value.

A pretty lightweighted burgundy. Cork surface surprisingly pale pink. Chosen because I had seven bottles and the driking window (CT) end 2010. Good nose. A light-bodied, subtle wine. Unremarkable in every respect, ufortunate for a $120 bottle.

Paired fantastically with the beef tips over pasta that a friend and I shared at the Detroit Athletic Club. Opened the bottle at the table, decanted immediately, and consumed over the next two hours. Tight initially, but quickly opened up and put us both into a hedonistic trance. Nose was initially overpowering to the point that it put me back in my chair, and with the first taste (almost intoxicating), we entered into a state of nirvana. A week later the taste still lingers. To describe the complexity challenges my vocabulary more than my senses -- this wine is hypnotizing, and sexy as hell!

OK at best. Tart, thin, thought it would improve with some air, but did not.

We bought a bottle of this in Buenos Aires at a wine shop called "Terroir". We asked for something that was ready for immediate consumption. It was excellent! Could have benefitted from a little breathing ortime in bottle, but my wife and I both thought it was amazing -- complex, full-bodied, firm structure lingering luxururiously and almost endlessly on the palate -- uniquely Argentine in character to boot.
