Wow! It is essential to give this wine some air in a decanter. I will improve dramatically with 2 hours or so of air. Maybe the best CdP I've ever had!

Clean pale yellow appearance. Nose of flowers, peach, lime, honey, and minerals. Palate exhibits the same with ample acidity balancing the fruit and minerality. Quite unique! This wine was still fresh 4 days after opening which suggests aging potential. Pretty serious wine at a great price.

Very opaque dark red black color. Black fruit, oak and peppery nose. Full bodied, rich fruit initially with quite strong tannins coming thru early to the finish. My impression is this needs more time in the bottle to mellow those tannins. This wine was compared in a tasting with wines from The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater where the Syrahs are know for "funk" and often light colors. This wine was a big contrast from those even it is also from a stony vineyard. Interesting comparison!

Light ruby transparent appearance. Nose of red berries. Medium body balanced acidity, juicy, medium finish. Overall a very good, tasty wine from The Rocks District which in my view is not exhibiting funk (In my view this is a big positive)

I cannot say I am any longer a fan of In The Rocks Syrah. The funk which seems related to sulfur. But many people still enjoy this style.

Dark red with almost black core. Nose of black berries, black currents, a hint of raspberry, and some spicy oak. Full bodied, dark chocolate, black fruit with tinge of red, nicely balanced. Mellowed tannins lengthen the finish. Nicely mellowed older Malbec, which still has years to go, but also great now.

Light yellow color. Nose initially highly indicative of lees and peach kind of unknit. Fruity palate with good acidity to balance it out. Refreshing.

I found this disappointing for a Wine Spectator Top 100 wine but not without redeeming characteristics of nice light ruby color, red fruit, decent acidity and soft tannin. This was tasted against the 2013 which was much darker in color with more earth and darker fruit which in and of itself is neither good or bad, but helps to cover the strong matchstick element. Unfortunately for the 2015, the matchstick on the nose and palate overwhelmed this lighter style.

Very nice Verdicchio! Yellow in color. A concentrated version with peachy fruit but with strong acidity and pleasant chalk minerality to keep it focused.

Nice transparent yellow color. This wine benefits from a double decanting, not overchilling, and additional air. Nose is that of a smoky chardonnay, with some sort of exotic tropical fruit. Nice balancing acidity, excellent concentration and medium plus finish.

Opens up nicely with decanting and about an hours worth of air. It's got fruit, balancing acidity and smooth tannin, and kind of a tarry flavor to add some complexity.

Deep ruby color. Red fruited nose and minerality. Palate with pronounced acidity and red fruit. Could use additional time in the bottle or more air than I had a chance to give it to be at its best.

Dark orange color. Most of the cloudiness I decanted off. Faint nose, someone else said tea like which I agree with. I am not getting any fruit to speak of. It reminds me of drinking tea with tannin appropriate for tea, not wine in my opinion. Perhaps flawed, oxidized?

I am not sure what to make of this wine. It has a pronounced orange amber color. I decanted off cloudiness/sediment so wine in the glass was clean looking, but there was still some very fine sediment. The nose was very subdued, maybe just very light peach aroma after days of air. Carried thru on the light bodied palate dominated by a citrus and strong tannic thread. Finishes medium long. Obviously this is an orange wine aged on the skins to pick up the tannic element. Maybe this 2014 vintage is too old to carry forth stronger fruit or even nuttiness which is another characteristic this wine should have had given its varietal composition.

Really enjoyable. Strong fruit, with oak but not overdone, but with almost a Chablis like thread of acidity. Yum!

Medium yellow gold color. Some nuttiness, perhaps oxidation on the nose and not much evidence of fruit. Somewhat too old but interesting at least. Their single vineyard bottlings much better and longer lived.

Medium yellow with hint of green tint. Definite nose of oak buttery barrel fermentation along with tropical fruit. However, this wine has excellent acidity to keep it fresh and long. Not an elegant Chardonnay, but enjoyable anyway for what it is.

Nice dark red verging to black color. Opaque. Intense black fruit on the nose with char. Similar on palate, full-bodied, tannin accentuates the long finish.

Fairly rich example of Viura (Macabeo). Pear notes. A well made wine acidity seems low leaving me with an off dry impression.

This wine was decanted overnight prior to being served at a block party. The lengthy decant helped it immensely. On the austere side still. No detailed notes but I wouldn't wait much longer to drink what you have.

Stole the show at the block party. Decanted overnight for the party but there was very little sediment. This is a beautifully balanced spicy, red-fruited wine.

Very much like a white Rhone wine which it should be considering the grapes involved. Didn't take detailed notes but it had that honeyed lanolin aspect to it.

This wine has a lot going on and seems underrated by the community. I gave it a double-decanting to eliminate the mild sediment and 24 hours of air before drinking. Medium red color with a clean appearance. Forthcoming nose of cherry and blackberries along with leather and oak. Medium bodied and well balanced. Long finish with tannin, acid, oak, and fruit in balance.

A very good cru Beaujolis. Transparent clean red color. Nose of red fruit, i.e. some combination of cherry and lingonberry, along with hints of orange, oak, licorice. Important to note this wine continues to open up substantially with air over 2 to 3 days. Light- medium body with a strong thread of acidity with the tannic element more subdued. Quite enjoyable especially after being open a day. I'd suggest drinking this somewhat chilled around 55 F or 12 C.

Excellent red burg. This wine had a deep red color, even somewhat opaque but still attractive. Upon first opening, the combination of red fruit and black fruit was apparent accented by toasty oak. The initially prominent tannins smoothed out very nicely with about 3 hours of air. Nice balance on the finish with moderate acidity. With air, this is easy to drink now, but I'd expect it to hold up at least another 5 years.

This is a fairly demanding wine for those unfamiliar with Savennieres. This bottle was opened and double decanted. It was initially too cold (40°-45° F) to appreciate and needed a good 2 hours of air to really open up. The color is definitive yellow gold. Nose of apple, melon, flint, and leesy. Fruit became more evident as the wine warmed up. This is a complex, medium to full-bodied wine with plenty of acidity, minerality, and lees on a long finish.
