A little past its prime. Uncorked to a nearly rotton cork, Decanted for 2 hours and a very subtle "opus" flavor. Smooth with a tart finish. Drink up boys.

Expectations were high as they always are with Opus but the 2001 was a bit of a let down. Nice legs and bouquet, however the depth and complexity was lacking. A medium flat finish that only penetrated the front and sides of the tongue. Looking forward to the next bottle but it will not be the 2001.

Delicious! I agree completely with the other notes. Decanted for two hours and paired it with the Osso Bucco from the Cakebread Cellars Cook Book. Together it was bliss. I highly recommend doing the same as you enjoy this wonderful wine.

Excellent, a new Moscato favorite! Honey, asian pear whiffs. Apricot. Honey and fuji apple on nose. Nectarine fizzy, effervescent. Dances on palate and throat. Not too viscous. Crisp, clean with a creamy finish!

Don't let the satirical name fool you into not buying this wine. It is truly a "Big Ass Cab" and boasts deep and complex flavor profiles of berries and oak. Well worth it for the price.

Excellent with the leg of lamb we prepared. Decanted for only an hour but certainly became more rich as the night went on. Spicy plumb and black cherry dominated with nuances of cinnamon and clove. Hints of oak from the fermenting. Will definitely enjoy this again.

Strong bouquet, a bit of an alcohol aroma. Bitter berry and citrus flavor that finishes with a tart roll off the back of the tonge. Quite nice flavor of black berry and hickory smoke. Good bottle for $13.

Still Great bottle! A balance of bright flavors, crisp acidity, and minimal tannins. Layers of roasted almond, caramel, cherry and spice.

Great legs and a berry bouquet. Nice deep blueberry colour, slightly oaky but not too much. Fruity on the palate with a nice finish. Good finish to our thanksgivining dinner with a fine double chocolate cake and apple pie.

Very smooth and fruity, strong plumb bouquet rounded out by a grape and berry burst of flavor as it tracked across the tongue. Would definitely purchase again.

Agree with Dr. Phil, a very pleasant surprise. Spicy bouquet with hints of pepper and surprisingly a nose of ocean air, salty if you will. Strong earth flavor with a long lasting finish.

Smooth bold and balanced. Great rich color and nice long legs. Predominant cherry with a long earthy finish. A nice treat at this price. Would recommend to drink now or several years to come.

Needs to age a bit more. Good thin legs but had a flat bitter profile with one dimension as it rolls to the back of the tongue.

I have to agreee with alreadyused review on 3/16/2008, "Nothing but Oak". A very flat finish. Certainly not worth the $14.00.

Great aroma with a good tropical fruit twang. Predominant grapefruit and melon flavors similar to a Schramsberg Vineyards Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. Enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend as a nice little sipper on a cool evening.

Rich, fruity and dry. Plumbs and berries dominate the flavor with a fairly flat and long finish.

Thin legs with a spicy aroma. Predominant oak bouquet. Dark berry, woodsy flavor, with a hint of chocolate. Would definitely buy again and will probably buy multiple bottles to have as a great drinker for under $10.

Good strong aroma that unfortunately is not matched on the palate. Very flat taste that only penetrates the mid tongue. The Bordeaux flavor, hardly any Merlot profile, just rolls to the back of the throat with very little finish.

Drank to honor the man who handed this bottle down. Strong brown sugar and earth flavors. Woodsy tones with a subtle finish of brandy flavor. I have to wonder if it was past its prime. Still an excellent bottle and feel privileged to have consumed it.
