Disappointing, especially for the price.

Decent wine for the price, but not amazing with the cost of shipping.

Nice wine. Shows some brett that was also evident in the 2003. Probably from the old barrels?

All Brett, all night and into the next day when it oxidized. Both bottles showed the same. One note funk that covered up any age related bouquet. Boring and a disappointment. Maybe there is bottle variation, because others have nice things to say. I like Brett character in wine, but this takes it way too far.

This wine hit me as mediocre. Especially if you pay a high price for it. It is not especially concentrated or long or deep. 4EP is the main flavor, and it doesn't seem destined to go anywhere great. If it were under $30, then there would be a lot to say for it, but because the label commands high prices, it is simply over-valued and a let down.

Pretty mature. Drinking well.

Mature. Iron and leather and some nice tertiary notes. A producer that handles brett well.

This is very good now, and has a happy road ahead of it.

Shows 2002 character, but evolving nicely.

From magnum. Very subtle and classic. Makes CA Pinot Noir taste like cartoons. In magnum it might develop more.

I think people drink Sauternes at the beginning of dinner so they can remember them. We drank this at the end.

Delicious. In a great place, and I'm thinking it has more to come. Maybe not more than 5 years of more, but more.

Good in a maturing wine sort of way, but not in the same league as the Estate Old Vine. I remember it as a charming wine on release, but maybe doesn't have the stuffing for extended aging. The Estate Old Vine does.

This can go a bit more. It is shedding the fruit of youth, and is slightly closed now, yet it is still fun to drink. The density is great, and you can tell there is more upside to come. Pretty amazing for a sub $20 un-oaked wine.

The last one I had was unyielding and angular. This one had a better texture, but the herbal character drowned out the fruit. Maybe 5 more years and it will all come together? I'm sure the bouquet will be interesting at the least.

Really good for such a modest price. I guess I'll save the last one I have for 2015. It seems it will make it that far.
