brought up in haste because of unexpected demand. Light all round, colour, nose, fruit and spirit but a lovely surprise. Good to know there are more bottles. Probably fully mature

Like a medium dry sherry. Most of the sherry I drink these days is better made and nicer to drink than this.

An NZ SB has to be special to catch your attention, let alone blow you away. But this is IT. Perfect balance all the way to the last drop

Delightful golden wine which would have completely baffled me at a blind tasting. Abundant fruit, ?peach but no flint

I have tasted this wine 5-6 times in last 3/12. All bottles were examples of very well made wine, golden with a delicate nose. Very full and complex on the palate and evolving. Surprised that other CT members were disappointed

Good classic slightly heave Barolo. Some complexity towards the end.

Far better than the average C.du R. Much more complex on nose and palate and opening up well as the meal progressed.
For me, this has the edge on the much loved Guigal C. du R.

Sunday supper a deux! Deep brooding purple. Reticent nose, might have been released by decanting. Huge impact of a gobfull of dark luxurious fruit. Tannins enough to intrude at the beginning but they faded away. This is a stonker, particularly at the price

My house red. Unpretentious 'gulping' red wine. Nothing unpleasant about it

Dry cork. No ullage. Cork broke all the same. Much more fruit than spirit.

Dry cork. No ullage. Moderate sediment. Slightly brown but bags of fruit on nose. More tannin than I expected at first but in retreat from about halfway. Plenty of fruit throughout. Should have decanted earlier

Purple like a much younger wine. Good fruit on nose. Lots of tannin. I'll put it to one side for a few months to see if it becomes more friendly.

Tasted in the garden at Glyndebourne. A little hard and unfruity.

A few days later had some with peach schnapps. Better!

Gone a bit flat compared with earlier tastings. No real sparkle in the fruit and the tannin remained obstinate
