A bit disappointed with this. Have a case of 12 and the cork in every bottle so far has been bone dry and split on removal. Was in paid storage since purchase and laid flat since delivery to me. Obviously poor storage, which impacts on the whole experience.
Red
Seems more approachable that a few years back
Red
Absolutely superb! Should have bought much more.
Red
Loads of cherries and black pepper. A little thin in the palate. Pleasant enough, nothing special .

Drinking really well. Smooth, subtle tannins, rounded and well-developed. A lovely bottle
Red
Big, bold, full mouthfeel. Chocolate dominates against a dark berry jamminess. The 15% is noticeable but the tannins are smooth and integrated. Good length.

Nose is very Burgundian. Initial taste is a little disappointing, seems thin. Comes back to life with some air. Eminently quaffable.

2012 Ridge Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel (view label images)
This really is a delicious bottle of wine!

Possibly flawed bottle or else I left this too long. Ridiculously overoxidised - looks and smells like sherry. Got another 5 bottles to get through , so hope this is a one-off.
Red
Almost minty/eucalyptus on the nose. Plums, dark cherries, tannins still very forward. Chewy but also thins quite quickly. Think I like it…

Glorious. Complex, smooth, integrated tannins. Almost chocolate notes. Definitely needs air to bring out its best.
White
Aged quite nicely. Signs of oxidation but screwcap has limited this. Still good flinty character but acidity dropping.

Not quite sure what to make of this wine. On the nose, ridiculously phenolic with notes of chocolate and iodine. On the palate, very tannic - completely coats the mouth. Needs a lot of time to open. Inaccessible on first pour.

Loads of eucalyptus and cedar. A little sour on the edge, but still good
Red
Tasted alongside 2009. Much more accessible and drinking really well.
Red
Tasted against the 2007. More closed and heavy on the eucalyptus. Needs to breathe rather than popmand pour, but does become accessible.

Still drinking well. High tannins and alcohol, but loads of dark berry fruit with liquorice and eucalyptus. A little heavy going, but good value.

Certainly showing its age. Deep yellow colour, honeyed notes on the palate. Still has good acidity but running towards the end of its life.

Still not convinced by this wine - still very tannic and very metallic.

Decanted 2 hours. Excellent nose - spicy, cedar, red fruits. Palate not as forward as the nose would suggest. Tannins and acidity balanced, but wanted more oomph for £50.

Interesting wine. Not sure if I liked it or not! A little challenging, somewhat metallic almost. Will decant next bottle and see if that helps.

Great nose. Warm spicy tobacco. Quite tannic, a little rough round the edges, perhaps needs a little more time. Might have benefited from being decanted?

Stunning. Great fruit and really smooth. Drinking excellently.
