9/8/23, 10:30 AM - Thank you Mr Harley.
3/6/22, 12:19 AM - Thank you Matt, that was very well put, I agree with you. I agree with the Knowers who have educated that the warm, and sometimes overlooked, vintage 2003 produced a number successful Bordeaux-wines. The recently tasted Sociando Mallet and Clos Fourtet (and Lascombes) 2003 from this vintage were great and ready to go.
2/11/22, 10:20 AM - Thank you seijaro for your comment, I see you point (no pun intended). I rate this 90-91 p.
1/28/22, 11:51 PM - Thank you for asking and thank you for your great reviews on CT. I could go for 91 points here. If you went above that, it probably would be the nice company and dinner one is enjoying (or it is very late in the evening and there are many open bottles). One of the best features of the 2003 SM is that it is drinking so well now that there is no need to contemplate is this too early or I am late and missed something.
8/14/20, 12:46 PM - Yes exactly, this will be even more rewarding after a couple years of cellaring, not to mention the Granite Chenin Blanc 2018, which is good now but I won't rush with my magnum bottle of the GCB.
8/7/20, 1:16 PM - I fully agree, in 2029 I will open Blanco GR 1994, 1996 and Reserva 2001.
4/29/19, 10:13 PM - I have one bottle left too. In my mind fruit in the 1997 has started to dry and I will consume my own bottle soon. Back in the day the vintage 1997 was highly acclaimed in many regions in Italy and one still has to pay a premium for this vintage. However, I am not sure if Italian 1997 reds have stood the test of time, at least for some producers fruit is starting to dry/fade and this also the case for the Rujno. This is off topic by for example I would not buy Ornellaia 1997, I would go for the 1998 instead which I find better. Further, the few Italian white wines from 1997 I have been lucky to test have been excellent, too bad they are hard to find these days.
12/6/18, 12:17 PM - Hi, thank you for contacting me. This is such a good vintage champagne that it requires a lot of age, especially if one likes aged champagne (apparently we both do). I tasted the -97 in 2012 so it has evolved from that but I am not sure if it delivers its best yet. If you happen to have several bottles, it might be worthwhile to give it a try but if you've got only one bottle, I would probably wait. Further, I transferring my hand written notes to CT so my notes are not that accurate, sorry.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
