Not much depth to this Rose, but the nose is pleasant and floral. Enjoyable on a warm day!

A balanced blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, it offers familiar dark fruit aromas and some earthy notes. The palate features a moderately full body with dark fruit flavors and a touch of spice. While it has a fairly balanced structure, the finish is somewhat short-lived. Overall, the 2019 Athene is a good wine for those looking to explore Burrowing Owl's offerings, but it may not leave a lasting impression on more discerning palates.

Château Cheval Blanc, one of the Premier Grand Cru Classé A wineries in Bordeaux collaborated with Terrazas de los Andes after noticing that the vineyards there were similar to those in St. Emilion where Château Cheval Blanc is located.

This Bordeaux-style blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot displays notes of dark fruit, chocolate and mineral, with firm tannins and a long finish. It's a complex and elegant wine that can be aged for a few more years, but can also be enjoyed now with a good cut of red meat. Overall, it's a great representation of the style the estate aims to portray, both in terms of boldness and finesse.

We were a bit unlucky with this one. The cork had sunken into the bottle and it had obviously oxidized too much . Even so, we drank and enjoyed dark leather and smoke flavors. Am looking forward to comparing to another ‘76 I have in hopefully better condition !

Great aged Burg. Cherry and Blackberry flavors with a smooth finish. I think this vintage has a few years ahead still!

This second wine of the Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck reminds me that process and passion are as critical as terroir. His use of only 65+ years Old vines that have never tasted pesticides adds food for thought, though perhaps not something I can taste from the wine. This is a late age at 18 years old but is still delivering spice and pepper notes. Being the second wine, I wouldn’t keep it much longer. Go ahead, open that bottle and enjoy it!

This 5th growth is still delivering balanced smooth flavors. The nose was at best muted and subtle, dark fruits and pencil shavings. Drink now, but enjoy!

100% Sangiovese (as are all Brunello’s) from just northeast of Montalcino. Tobacco infused with smoke flavors. A solid choice for a classic Brunello.

A 13 grape blend! But still 80% Grenache and 6% Syrah. This is classic CDP with spicy notes. Nose of dried fruits, and a long strong finish.
