Super elegant and complex. Raspberries, blueberries. Much more savoury rather than sweet or fruit forward. Some meatiness/ charcuterie notes. Hint if menthol and herbs. Wow. Tannis sitting in the background slowly sneaking up on you. 96+

So beautiful. Mulberry’s and forest floor. I think from my memory I prefer the 15’ over the 14’. Soo good! 97

On opening, a combination of raspberries and blackberries with a very very slight hint of herbaceous notes come from the glass. Tannins and acidity there but very much in the background. Really easy drinking. Drink over next 5-7 years. 91
Red
Mulch, earth, hints of smoked deli meats. Balanced acidity. Small amount of tannin. I would think it would be best to drink now for the next 3-5 years. 90
Red
Field Mushrooms, leather, hints of black fruits. Tanins still somewhat there but becoming resolved. Touch of spice. In the drinking window now. I would recommend drinking up over the next few 3-5 years. I would also recommend a short decant 1-2 hours. Unreal wine. 97+
Red
Earth, Mulch, Deep Dark cherries and Blackcurrants. Hints of liquorice and spice. Savoury. Wonderful. Drink now. 91

Ridiculously deep dark colour. Sediment in the bottom of the bottle, so recommend a decant. Decanted for 2.5 hours. Dark blackberries, black fruits, sweet heirloom tomato, fennel, crushed herbs and a touch of liquorice. Slight smoky sweetness about it on the nose. So seductive. Very intense. All very together, nothing sticking out. Long long finish. Better with food. Got better and better with time!
Wait 4-5 years. 98+

Red and back fruits, more so red fruited with hints of distinctive dark cherry notes. So well put together on the nose with nothing out of place. Could almost smell like a big pinot from a warmer region, but it’s not quite maybe that’s the viognior speaking. Really interesting in glass, there’s something there I can't quite put my finger on in a great way. It keeps you coming back to the glass again and again; Is it the oak? Is the terroir? I don’t know but it’s fascinating. Bottle decanted as there was a small amount of sediment, and to alow the wine to open up. I feel like this wine has got a way to go before it’s starts slowing down. Tannis still there but not out of balance. Really long finish. Would recommended. 96

Day 1:
Decanted for 2 hours. Deep dark purple colour. Graphite/ Pencil lead, hint of thyme and garden herbs. Feels like the fruit notes of blackberry and cassis are sitting in the background.

Day 2: It feels like the extra 24 hours has liberated the fruit in a sense. Blackberry, Cassis, hints of blueberries, chocolate and faint garden herb notes. Not getting the graphite notes of yesterday which interesting. The palate is much more integrated and seamless from start to finish. Finished the bottle.

I would recommend a long decant (6 to 8+ hours) if enjoying soon. Preferred the wine slightly on day 2 due to the more integrated palate. Can’t wait to try again in 3-5 years time. 95+

Opened after talking to others who have tasted and loved it. So dark in colour. Blackberries, blueberries, and hints of herbal and vanilla notes. Tannin is a bit aggressive at this stage, but nothing that time can’t tame. Very nice wine with massive upside. Would wait a few years before opening another bottle. Will buy a few more bottles to lay down. 95

Would recommended a decent decant before drinking.

I absolutely love this wine, probably close to the best wine I’ve ever tasted (in my albeit short fine wine tasting history). At least the best Pinot Meunier or Pinot Noir I’ve ever tasted. Strawberry, Rose petals, Forest floor. Ever changing in the glass. Unbelievably amazing. Not cheap at $110 a bottle, but I bought 6 more bottles (probably should have bought more in all honesty). 99+

My tasting note seems to be consistent with what’s already written here. Blackberry, Cassis, Black Plum with a hint of very dark chocolate. No shortage of tannins. I will wait another 2-3 more years before I open another bottle, as I suspect it will be better for the additional bottle age. Wonderful wine. Value ++ 95

Pale lemon colour. Aromas of white peach and lemon on the nose. Nicely balanced wine with a hint of spice on the palate. Very nice wine. 95

Very regal and classy. Everything in place and nothing out of balance. Lots of tertiary notes of leather and tobacco. Feels very polished. Wonderful Length. 96+

Aged beauty.

Such a beautiful wine. Very balanced, complete and complex. So youthful in comparison to the 79’ Grange tasted next to it. I absolutely loved this wine. It’s a big YES from me. 98+

Loaded with tertiary flavours of leather, cured deli meats and market spices. Very similar to the 97’ Langi Ghiran I tried a month or so earlier. 91

On opening blueberries, dark chocolate and black fruits were at the forefront. Over several hours, the wine opened up revealing some further characters of raspberry/ red fruit and lighter dark chocolate. Very well balanced and integrated. Would recommended, and buy again if I could. Wonderful to drink. 97
