Although the CT drinking window was until 2014, this was pretty amazing. Still some red and black fruit left along with pronounced but very enjoyable tertiary aromas and flavours - mushroom, forest floor and tobacco.
Lovely, refined tannin for some body with surprisingly refreshing acidity still. Long finish and still an outstanding wine IMO.
Red
M+ blackcurrant, black cherry, leather, touch of tobaccco and liquorice. Still refreshing acidity but perhaps lacking a bit in body now as tannins have softened a lot more. Very nice but probably not much ageing left in it.
White
Outstanding wine.
Pronounced fruit - touch of apple and citrus, plus peach and pear. Lovely richness from well integrated OML. Full bodied but with refreshing acidity. Perfectly balanced and complex with a long finish.

Medium ruby appearance.
What I thought was pronounced fresh blackcurrant/blueberry for me but closer to Decanter’s note of violet and strawberry once it had been open for a while. Some vanilla and cloves, leather and tobacco.
Medium +, ripe tannins. High acidity.
Medium alcohol and body.
Medium flavour intensity - blackcurrant, cloves, tobacco/leather.

I enjoyed this a lot. Very drinkable. Could age more.
