Reminiscent of a Washington state cab (prominent olive and oak aromas and flavors). Intense dark berry and some mocha. Medium body with a reasonable length finish.

Some age really helps sea smoke's pinots.

Dark and full bodied but balanced. Loads of very rip fruit, cola, and oak. Alcohol is noticeable but at a listed 14.5%, not surprising.

What a treat! Having recently had the '90 mondavi reserve cab, I was very excited to taste this. Though the mondavi eclipsed this wine, this is still excellent.

Medium red with a touch of fading color; beautiful nose with bright red fruit (particularly cherry), cinnamon, moist earth, hint of funk; similar flavors in a medium body and a good length finish. Unlikely to get better but wonderful now.

Thanks again to Ted for a fabulous surprise.

Disappointing. I don't know if this is well past its prime or its faulted. No odd flavors but very dull. Some acidity and fruit flavors but otherwise boring. 82 points if scored.

Delish! Was expecting a nice Cab and ended up having a great one.

Aired for about an hour before tasting. Dark color; deep rich nose of dark berry, coffee, and a herbal note; Medium body with low to moderate acidity and tannis but not flabby; intense flavors of plum, berry, coffee, and toasty oak.

Paired wonderfully with a bone-in roast but this is complex enough to be a fun cerebral sipper.

QPR SCORE!

Beautiful Bordeaux. Surprisingly creamy mouthfeel with ripe blackberry and cherry fruit. No prominent tertiary flavors or funk but still so delicious and satisfying. Alcohol is perfectly hidden.

Drink up boys and girls!. This poured out medium yellow gold color; nose of alcohol and pineapple. The framework is all there (alcohol, acidity, moderate oak, unctous body) along with tropical fruit and overripe apple flavors. Lacking freshness.

Much better with food than as an aperitif.

A solid wine that doesn't stand out among the crowd but what a wonderful crowd the champagne shelf is at the store. Toasty and gingery and satisfying.

This slipped through my inventory monitoring and I was worried that it was too late. It was not but if you have this, I would not wait any longer.

Medium golden color was reassuring when poured out; nose of tropical fruit, honey, and alcohol; medium to full bodied with tropical fruit, lemon, and vanilla flavors. Oak and alcohol are prominent. Overall bigger than I was expecting and I'd probably rate this a bit higher a few years back.

Poured out quite dark gold. Plenty of bubbles, acidity, and energy but definitely prematurely aged. Still delicious and pleasantly musty but nothing like another '95 a few years ago. Thanks again to SD-Wineaux for sharing.

Opened about an hour before drinking. Beautiful nose of cherry, tobacco, orange peel. Balanced and elegant. Paired magically with a black truffle filet and spinach.

Stunning. This bottle is at its peak. Perfectly mature with tannins and acidity dancing beautifully together in the background with tertiary flavors front and center. Seasoned leather, cedar, spices, dark berry. A Napa valley first growth.

No holds barred, full throttle Chardonnay. If this sounds unappealing, then move along.....

I prefer a bit more restraint in my wines but there's no denying that this is quality. Myriads of flavors; stone fruit, pear, tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla, nuttiness. Just goes on and on.

A big full fruity wine but no fruit bomb. Was hoping for more tertiary aromas and flavors.

Paired very well with a heavy sauce short rib preparation.

An enjoyable burgundy that falls under my descriptor of "less is more". Medium body with tart cherry and earthy flavors and aromas. However, I don't see the grand cru ranking.

Thanks to Dr. Scott for sharing.

Enjoyable again. Lean and lithe but not the least bit thin. Lemon, brioche, perhaps some ginger. Not a crowd pleaser but the educated and experienced palates at your work party will be impressed (particularly when they find out this is not a grower Champagne).

A very pleasant surprise. I was expecting something good-enough. I got something very good.

Better after a bit of air. With one sniff, easily identifiable as Bordeaux. Lighter bodied but not thin; plum and cherry fruit, earth, barnyard; Surprisingly long finish.

I really enjoyed a glass of this. A few glasses, not nearly as much.

This wine is well made but it just doesn't do it for me. I love a big oaky chardonnay as much as the next person but this is a too heavy to an aperitif or a porch pounder.

Loads of tropical fruit, vanilla, oak and though obviously "dry" at 14.4% abv, feels and tastes like there is residual sugar in here.

One glass, good. Pairing with a rich meal, good. Drinking a whole bottle of this in the hot tub, not good.

Found this In my fridge and I'm unsure of where this came from. No complaints drinking this.

So much more complexity than the cheap Pinot Grigio I usually avoid. Salinity, apple, floral notes. Moderate and well balanced acidity.

From my purchase history, I am guessing this was disgorged 10-15 years ago. Quite possibly the best bottle to date.

Med gold color and still plenty of bubbles. Aged profile with yeast/croissant, mushy apple, mushroom, and some lemon zest. Full bodied.

Universally liked by oenophiles and non-oenophiles.

I believe the first time I've had Chardonnay from Beaujolais. Makes me think of a fuller Chablis. Lots of crisp acidity along with prominent apple fruit and some subtle herbal notes. Reasonable QPR at $20USD.

The jury is out with this for now. I really enjoyed this at a fun winery tasting but I almost had a sense that this bottle was off. What was particularly puzzling was that not every sip seemed off. I picked up an occasional stewed fruit note and possibly some VA.

Almost 7 years since a previous bottle and I still find this wonderful.

This almost seems youthful with loads of acidity and primary fresh fruit. Drink or hold.

Labeled as 14.8%abv but comes off as 16%.

Alcohol overpowers everything in this wine. There are some nice fruit flavors but not enough to find much enjoyment.

From a restaurant's by-the-glass reserve list. Dark golden color. Enjoyable with caramel and mushy apple aromas and flavors. If this was 6-10 years old, I'd rate this 89-91. This? This is prematurely oxidized.

I'd put this right up against any other high end Napa/Sonoma Chardonnay.

A bit darker and taking on an aged profile but still pure and focused.

Thanks to SD-Wineaux for opening.

I don't drink much eiswein but I should.

Fresh and clean with great acidity to lift up the concentrated Riesling flavors. Long finish.

Thanks SD-Wineaux.

Unfortunately, this poured out medium gold. It was drinkable but lacked the seaside freshness I remember from before.

My first one of these in a while. I missed you.

Wonderful again though this is as dark as bourbon!?

Complex with loads of aromas and flavors (Burnt sugar/caramel, marshmallow, stone fruit, apple). And with substantial acidity, its borderline fantastic.

The label states 15.2% abv !!?? Impressively well hidden as I enjoy this but seeing after half a bottle I'm incredibly tall, handsome, and charming.... the alcohol is all here.

For a full throttle Pinot, this doesn't come across as light but it is no more than medium. Beautiful, bright color with high toned aromas. Bright fruit (cherry, raspberry), cola, spices, and cocoa. Varietally correct with an extra kick! Enjoyable.
