January 23, 2017 - Dark color; black pepper, lots of berries, herbs, garrigue, floral, deep and meaty; similar on palate showing good depth and old vine complexity and richness, tart dark raspberry, baby aspirin, talc like mineral, still some grip; a serious CdR that is very close in quality to CdP, still young yet delicious.

August 6, 2015 - This may be the best cotes du rhone I've ever had. The candy-ish cherry and strawberry fruit is nicely balanced by animal funk, cinnamon, and Asian spices. Great winemaking here!

January 28, 2013 - At Emirates lounge. Ruby with a purple touch. A bit too warm, unlike the Poliziano the 14.5 alc shows already on the nose, then a typical spicy and earthy Grenache nose and palate, a moderate touch of wood, fine tannins, medium finish. Solid.

January 28, 2012 - Easy young Cote du Rhone. Not too complex but enjoyable right now with a spice and ash note. Overall good.

January 20, 2012 - On pop, slightly fruity, plum and some warm spices; soon shows enticing, Loire-like funk adding complexity; and later completes with earthy dust tones and a lasting penchant for blackberries. Very fun to smell over time, and an easy 90pts were it for the nose alone.

If the taste is acceptable, silky, it ultimately has too few tannins and acidity to provide a fine texture and finish against a relatively high 14%. Still a good sipper, and great nose.

    November 10, 2011 - Not decanted.
    Cork: good.
    Look: Dark red '09.
Nose: BIG Strawberry!; raspberry, great spice, lt. cedar.
    Body: 2.5% milk.
Taste: Raspberry, earth, strawberry, black cherry, cedar.
    Finish: 50 secs.
Summary: 89 pts. Nice Bright Fruit. Note: Nicely changed day 2 and 3 into less big red fruity and more into some earth garrique classic Frenchie S. CDR. Interested in trying their $50 CDP that MB talked up.
