April 22, 2023 - Atlanta Amoureuses & Monty Dinner: Lots of power and depth with this vintage. A much bigger wine with lots of fruit.

September 16, 2021 - tonight this wine is singing. delicious, elegant, lively ripe raspberry fruit with excellent minerality and lovely acidity. great lift. hard to ask for more in a red burg

December 23, 2017 - Day later from memory, third bottle consumed at a BYO last night, so recollections are hazy. One bright note: I tried some milk thistle capsules before imbibing and before bed, and I swear I have less than the anticipated hangover. This warrants further investigation.

Can't provide much detail. It was quintessential in its Chambolle-ness. Not 100% ready but opened up over the course of the hour or so it took to finish. What sets this apart is the sweet, perfume-like quality and the almost ethereal texture, which even while my senses were getting duller continued to glide across my palate with nearly aching beauty. Very primary still, lots of potential. Try next one in 3-5 years.

June 8, 2015 - This wine is coming around nicely. No volatility. Beautiful nose. Perfectly ripe red fruit. Floral. Very mild spice.
The palate is so well buffered with extract. Beautiful red fruit. Refreshing. The acidity makes the finish dance. The length is extraordinary.
This is drinking well in a very young way. Great job Francois!

April 26, 2014 - Young yet the 2009 vintage shines through with a forward fruit side. Good mid palate fruit, well balanced and pure wine, assimilated oak and just a clean pinot flavours of red fruits and just a hint of darker side on the end. A touch of a dry finish. Needs time to develop a complex side as at this stage is more of a very good village rather than a 1er, especially from such a vineyard. 91 for now but watch this space.
