October 9, 2021 - Gregor Breuer Tasting (Villa Merton, 1 Michelin Star, Frankfurt): Glass: Schott Zwiesel White wine
Clear, youthful golden color. Amazing and typical Schlossberg nose, very dense, salty and smoky. Beautiful!
On the palate some noticeable residual and extract sweetness. Wonderful racy and ripe acidity. Chubby body, warm fruit, perfect balance, harmony and structure. Amazing mineral core. Extremely long and mineral finish. Schlossberg at its best with potential for another decade. What a wine! 961 person found this helpful Comment -

August 28, 2021 - Probably not a perfect bottle. Seemed slightly over the hill, still, you could sense the greatness lingering. Round, balanced flavors, honey, ripe apples, green tea, all in impressive balance.

June 23, 2021 - I gambled and bought a bottle at auction. Honey, complex, deep, white orchard fruit, yellow peaches, petrol, mandarin, great length. It is juicy with lots of dry extracts, but is still fresh, with lemon juice and a finessed feel all around. A great dry Riesling.

December 22, 2019 - Concept Riesling Christmas Special 2019 (Concept Riesling, Düsseldorf): not blind
One of the best wines of the evening. Much better than a few weeks ago in the vertical tasting. Awesome dense and complex. Great length. Herbal and lime notes, no oxidation, at his peak. At least 5 more years.. 97 -

November 9, 2019 - Best bottle (Restaurant Holz und Feuer, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Gabriel Standard
From Magnum with bad cork and low fill level. Not decanted, drunk over two hours. Clear, medium amber color. Nose with slight oxidized notes, some nettles, orange zests and mineral notes. Very advanced and not perfect.
On the palate again some slight oxidized, Sherry notes. Lively, racy acidity. Certainly not an optimal bottle. Drinkable, but not as good as it couldbe. Hence no rating.
