May 12, 2021 - Past its peak but still enjoyable. Tea and tobacco rather than sweet fruit. Versatile and flexible, supple body, a bit of grip and good energy. Some sediment. Drink up

April 18, 2021 - Creeping out of lockdown with C&L (Auriol): Consistent with my previous TN, this remains generous and enjoyable, enough structure to stand up to various bbq'd meats but lithe and juicy enough to drink on its own.

October 18, 2020 - PnP. Very pleasant, and in its prime window for my palate. Red fruited, medium-bodied, and really responded well after it had been open for 1 hr (i.e. by the third glass). Drink now or the next several years. recommended

May 6, 2019 - Long weekend with friends in the country: Standout red of the trip for me. Luscious red-cherry and spice nose, clear and bright on the palate, some snap (goes well with food) but not so aggressive you can’t drink on its own.

May 5, 2019 - A couple of years since my last note, this wine has matured and really hit its stride . Starting to show hints of garnet , and long glycerous legs, the nose displays sweet Marasca cherries, stewed plums, dried roses, herby menthol, and leather. Acidity is still medium -plus, with the tannins softening, a full mouth feel with rich flavours of chocolate covered cherries , raspberries, and marzipan . A wine of poise and refinement that will continue to develop over the next few years.
