June 30, 2021 - Light gold-green in color. Flinty nose with lime notes. The palate is precise and complex with Granny Smith apples, saline, lemon, honey and minerals. Beautiful acidity, great balance. Mineral-laced honey notes on the mid-palate. Finishes long and subtle with cleansing acidity, lemon and honey. This is a lovely wine with lots of life and development ahead of it. Wonderful to drink now and for 8 to 10 years more.

January 16, 2020 - Flickinger Customer Appreciation Tasting (Casino Club - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Magnum. Ripe and fleshy start with a brighter finish, still not quite coming across as classically "Chablis." Good richness throughout, but not quite Grand Cru density to me. Good to enjoy young.

January 16, 2020 - Flickinger Customer Appreciation Tasting (Casino Club): From magnum. I really love the aromas here with ripe green apple with some citrus and mineral. Palate is showing the vintage with ripeness and a tad less acidity than you might expect. Very good and should drink well young.

October 23, 2018 - Domaine des Malandes dinner with Amandine Marchive (Chicago, IL): From magnum. Due to some winery improvements, the domaine was able to cool the juice when the fruit was harvested this year, giving this more freshness. There were some hailstorms just before harvest as well. A moderate hint of reduction on the nose, but the fruit profile here is a little broader and rounder than most. The heat in the vintage shows clearly (especially with some other wines). There's still some acidity here to lift this up, but it doesn't come close to the better vintages.
