Voodoo_Champagne Likes this wine:
December 24, 2020 - A very fine and tasty wine with roasted duck, 15 % but not burning on the palate, was served slightly cooled, nice tannic finish.

July 28, 2020 - WEA Chapelle St. Theodric Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ almost pronounced intensity, with aromas bursting of ripe red fruits, darker red cherries, floral lavendar, sweet baking spices, dark licorice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (15%), soft entry but firm structured high tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of blackberries, blueberries, dark red cherries, ripe red fruit pastilles, sweet baking spices, dark licorice. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Generally on the dark fruit spectrum, but acid and structure are so good. So full of energetic life. Will drink well over the next 5 years.
100% Grenache. Sandy soil with a touch of clay. -

April 18, 2020 - In his sales pitch, the local merchant says this is the new Rayas. I say this is not even close to the Rayas Pignan. Could be in a sleepy stage now but it is amazing what kind of hyperboles they are so ready to use to close a sale.

March 15, 2020 - Black cherry jam, clove, burnt rubber, raspberry, damson. Bold wine but compact, precise and carries the 15% alcohol weightlessly. Acidity is comfortably high enough to remain fresh. Medium tannin provides good structure. This is brilliant. I would predict another 3 years to see an Improvement and it would continue to evolve positively for another 10. When you drink it is largely down to your preference however. I love it.
