December 25, 2023 - This wine needs air! Give it at least 60 minutes in carafe. At first, I thought the wine was tired with the nose of sweet plums and even raisins, but with the air, it started singing. The nose was dominated by sour cherry, plum and mocha with a bit of freshness. On the palate, wine is dense and almost sweet with still very much present grainy tannins and solid acidity as good backbone. Medium plus finish.

Not my style of wine, but if you like heavy (14.7% alcohol), opulent and well-structured wine from Spain, this is definitely for you.

September 23, 2023 - Excepcional, el color es completamente teja, en nariz es ciruela pasa. En boca es impresionante, aterciopelado con notas a frutas muy maduras por todas partes. El final es largo y potente. Los taninos son completamente pulidos

October 8, 2022 - WSET reunion tasting group+ (Home, Utrecht): Bold, deep and lovely. Cherries, oak, clove, hint of mint, leather, BBQ. Medium+ tannins, long finish. Still great, at peak (or just behind)

August 27, 2021 - Utregs Wijnhuis Wijnproeverij Exclusief (Utregs Wijnhuis): [Blind tasted] - Guessed a Rioja, not Toro. Very nice, has aged gracefully. Ripe cherries, plum, spicey, mint, ceder. Very deep and still maintaining tis freshness.
Medium acidity, very fine tannins. Long finish that keeps evolving
