November 22, 2023 - High on the delicious scale with decadent cherry fruit laced with spice. Nicely round and velvety. You can sense the CLB stylings come through.

December 21, 2021 - New World Pinot Noir theme lunch at SSG. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, light dark spice, more blue fruits emerging with air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of purple boysenberries, dark red cherries, sweet spices. Long finish.
Good quality. Well-made, sufficiently restrained New World Pinot, a little on the simple side currently. Not great QPR as it really is quite pricey.

December 21, 2021 - New-world Pinot lunch: A brooding, dark-fruited nose. It was sufficiently restrained at the beginning to have some doubt over which of this and the Ramonet was the Burgundy, but with air it became more blue-fruited and denser to leave no doubt. Not sure if this is worth the current market price as the palate is not as seamless as you would expect at this price point.

August 12, 2021 - Perrieres Tasting (Chez Winefool): Served blind at the end of length Burgundy tasting, so perhaps not surprising that the group felt it was Burgundy. Lovely and charming red fruit that is already showing herb, spice and floral complexity. Youthful fruit with plenty of room to improve from here.

August 12, 2021 - Perrières Tasting: Mostly Meursault Whites, plus Méo-Camuzet Reds (The Winefool - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. Red cherry and berry with subtle floral and spice notes that made me think it from Volnay! Good lift with some earth notes on finish that made me think this older, Like everybody, I thought this Burgundy, mostly in the context of our Perrières tasting this evening, but it also seemed nicely elegant and minerally.
