March 21, 2024 - Again satisfying yet unspectacular, cherry, star anise, mineral, the first drag of a Pall Mall. Satisfying, appealingly delicate, yet not really compelling.

March 13, 2024 - Gosh this was good - poured blind I thought of Mugnier Amoureuses 02, pleased to find out I was quite close. What an 01 though! Visually fairly developed, a very welcoming nose with plenty of baking spice, entering very soft on the palate, superb inner sweetness on the soft and relaxed but long mid palate with plenty of minerality. No rusticity here just polished, round, lands on the palate like cashmere. The four of us went thourgh this bottle in about 10 minutes which speak to the crazy buvabilite. All you want in Burgundy and in such a good place. now-2040

December 2, 2023 - Drank along with 2001 Roumier Les Amoureuses, Mugnier's version was more open and floral at the first. Noise of Mulberry and dark roses, very typical of Mugnier's Les Amoureuses. The body of the wine was a bit lack of concentration, and far less powerful than the Roumier. It would be a wine of highly satification if drank without the Roumier alongside.

April 22, 2023 - Atlanta Amoureuses & Monty Dinner: Quite nice and elegant. Such a wonderful vintage right now, it was really in the zone.

January 7, 2023 - Beautiful nose of red fruit, earth and iron. There was a musty note that took a good hour to fully blow off. Light but powerful with nice energy on the palate. Some mushroom and ferrous notes. I imagine this is peak drinking window.
