January 31, 2023 - Fresh garnet-red/purple color; red fruits on the nose (no plum or purple fruit here); on the palate there is cherry and tart cranberry, with a nice long, piquant finish. Grand Cru weight and heft. I have no idea who owns these vines, but they are obviously well tended. This could challenge any Echezeaux in the vintage and has 15 to 20 years of enjoyable drinking ahead.

February 28, 2022 - Likely an off bottle - lacked power and definition and nose was strongest of soy sauce and lacked fruit.

January 16, 2020 - Flickinger Customer Appreciation Tasting (Casino Club - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Good red fruit with spice hints and good balance. Just not close to Grand Cru density or nuance (yet?). Fun and easy, but I don't see the upside.

January 16, 2020 - Flickinger Customer Appreciation Tasting (Casino Club): Aromatically a bit closed. The palate is a bit dilute and lacking concentration. Simple with red fruits and some spice. Perhaps this is shut down. 87 point showing right now and I'm not sure it gets better with time.

February 1, 2017 - Relatively new Burgundy drinker - I was disappointed by this bottle. The nose was intact, but the palate was pretty thin, especially considering that it was from a year that I would have considered a dense one. Other 2005's that I've opened have been drinking well of late, but this one seemed upside-down and under-fruited. We drank through the bottle over a couple of nights and this one never seemed to wake up. Judgement withheld.
