Community Tasting Notes 7

July 4, 2020 - Pine needles, earth, leather and menthol. Sweet earth and meats. Reasonable depth but not a lot of charm.

March 29, 2019 - Very earthy and black fruited. It is slightly chunky in a kind of Clos Vougeot sort of way. It has a heart of black cherry and acidity feels relatively low. The finish is chewy, with some drying oak tannins.

January 16, 2019 - Same btl as R&Rler. Another pleasant surprise to the upside tonight. Another excellent 06! Thanks Dave!

January 16, 2019 - Heidi's Gang of Six Redux: Some Burg Heavy Hitters (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Very dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. I love this nose, great spices, earthy, floral, high toned, leather, dark red fruits. The palate is fairly consistent just a bit sharper on the tail end. 92+ to 93pts.

February 21, 2015 - Saturday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): A lovely Echezeaux that combined pure red berry fruit with deep florals and some spice. Wasn't overly complex, but this sure was delicious!
