Good fruit, with beautiful, racy acidity. This also some some exotic funky notes that I really loved. Delish!

corked!

Spot on bottle to me. Had rich fruit that, at the same time, had a cool profile to it. Sleek and edgy this was completely on its game today. Would make anyone believe in Chablis!

Gave this about 3 hours of air before the first glass. Air definitely helps this wine and opens up the floral aromatics quite dramatically. Such a light and airy wine. Love the style.

Another beautiful bottle! Stemmy and spicy with dark edges to a mostly red-fruited profile. Tons of depth and character on the palate too with lots of elegant floral notes, a dense spicy note, and airy red fruits.

Not as interesting as other vintages of this wine. Seemed more straightforward and lacked some of the exotic notes I've tasted before. What this did have, though, was lots of beautiful juicy peach and tangerine. Subtle spice and herbal tones on the finish, too.
Rosé - Sparkling
2010 Ultramarine Pinot Noir Sparkling Rosé Heintz Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

Similar notes to my last bottle. Beautiful combination of firm/taut red fruits and this wonderful umami note. The combination is irresistible. So exotic and deep.

A distinctive, effortless champagne that blends deep orchard fruits, subtle bready notes, and tons of energy. Amazing.

Age has been kind to this wine. Had some nice, light meaty notes in there with a good combination of floral and earthy tones. The fruit profile is very bright and was an interesting contrast to some St. Joseph drank immediately after.

I liked this a lot. Decanted for about 2 hours, the air helped open this up a bit. Beautiful rose and cherry tones on the palate with soft, earthy notes throughout. Impressive structure that points to a nice life ahead of it.

Fantastic wine that is still holding onto its youthfulness. The fruit is concentrated and dark but has a distinct lightness to it which I've always loved. Very exotic syrah too, with olive, meat, and violets. Gorgeous stuff.

Lean and spicy. Those are the two adjectives that come to mind about this wine. The palate was a bit austere and didn't feature a ton of fruit but that's ok for me. Loved the acidity, loved the old-world sense to this.

Rich fruits, great floral notes, and sizzling acidity made me happy. Drink more of this.

I was a big fan of this one. Even for a 2004, this was showing very nicely. You could taste the seriousness of the vintage here...all the beautiful fruits and florals were framed by tannins and acidity. Great structure, great depth.

2006 Gros Frère et Sœur Echezeaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Echezeaux Grand Cru

A lovely Echezeaux that combined pure red berry fruit with deep florals and some spice. Wasn't overly complex, but this sure was delicious!
