January 3, 2014 - Hazy, medium amber colour. Clean, full developed nose. Med+ intensity. Aromas of orange zest, cider, black tea, black olives & hazelnuts. Dry, med+ acidity, med tannins, med alcohol, med body, med+ flavour intensity. Flavours of grapefruit, strong tea, hazelnuts, wild honey, minerals and spices on the finish. Long finish. Outstanding. Very peculiar but in an extremely good way. You can drink it now but the wine has clearly quite some potential for ageing left.

May 20, 2012 - Dead match for strong iced tea. The nose is flowers, cider, a little petrol, orange oil. The palate begins as startlingly tart, but with enough body for a soft landing. This is mostly ripe citrus, a little old wood, and gentle spice, wrapped in considerable acid and rocks, but certainly never seems thin or screechy; the feel is of a soft red wine, very cool. The finish is more like the nose, long and cleansing.

May 19, 2011 - Purchased at restaurant and served at cellar temp. Orange hue. Sparkling cider on the nose. Orange zest and tangerine notes. Good structure and acidity. Fantastic food wine. Will seek out in the future.

November 11, 2010 - Piedmonte (mostly Barolo) (Michael's): nose: musty, smoky, oxidized (obviously) with turpentine-lite characteristics
palate: I could not get over how similar to a red wine this is. Thinner on the palate than expected, given the headiness of the nose, but with dry, ruddy (almost rubber-skid feel) tannin and sherried citrus to end. Fasincating, fantastic, and oh-so easy to pair with food. Amazing stuff. Why is this the first time I've tried it???
