Community Tasting Notes 4

July 29, 2014 - Blind White Tasting with Top 2000 White Burgundy (Les Nomades - Chicago IL): I included in this flight as a "ringer" thinking its depth and intensity would almost/maybe fit, but everybody immediately identified that this as the one of four bottles didn't fit. Very enjoyable, but ripe and hedonistic vs the Chevalier-Montrachet in the flight (ok, not fair) and also more advanced.

December 21, 2013 - Holiday Chardonnay Tasting & Dinner (Residence of Tony and Paulette Kelley): Very thick and unctuous with lots of syrupy butterscotch and some floral notes still present. Very smooth and refreshing for a 13 year old chardonnay. This is the quintessential Parkerized booze bomb coming in at 16% alcohol.
Purchased from a library sale directly from the winery a few months prior to tasting. Meaning it was stored in pristine conditions and may not reflect other bottles.

May 17, 2011 - Found in the back of my storage, this was probably a couple of years past it's peak. Nice fruit has held up well over 11 years. Fairly peachy and tropical, the alcohol was particularly pronounced when served at cellar temperature. The heat got slightly "hidden" when I refrigerated the bottle after opening and served colder.

May 27, 2006 - New world style with some mineral. Not bad. Drank over 2 days.
