May 27, 2021 - Classic lemon curd aromatics, just bang on. Persistent citrus palate. This is terrific.

December 14, 2018 - N. Rhones and other Treats (RPM Italian): In an 07/08 pair. A real step down from the enchanting 2007. There was an over ripe botrytis aspect to the nose that really dulled and distracted the aromatics. Good but not special, as you'd hope/expect.

December 14, 2018 - HDH Dec auction trip/dinners at SKY and RPM Italian; 12/13/2018-12/15/2018: A fantastic wine that only suffered as a result of being poured alongside the otherworldly '07. There's plenty of that Roulot oak/reduction/minerality combination and a core of bright fruit, but there's also a touch of botrytis apparent that lends a faintly honeyed character to the fruit, and leaves the finish a bit less focused than I'd like.

December 14, 2018 - HDH December auction; 12/13/2018-12/15/2018 (Chicago, IL): I know it's being a bit spoiled when you say that a wine like this just didn't cut it. But next to the perfect 2007, it's so clear that this was a bit of a laggard. The nose here was incredibly ripe and showed more fruit and more florals, as well as a vague hint of botrytis. The palate is not as well-delineated as the 2007 either, with that botrytis causing the focus here to get a little fuzzy. There are stone fruit and citrus elements here, with the stone fruit feeling a touch sweeter than I generally like, but all in all, this is no slouch of a wine.

September 20, 2018 - Incredibly balanced. This was tasted double blind and stood out immediately as a special wine. I guess MP and either Roulot or PYCM. Incredibly delicious and an incredible wine. My number 3 and the group #3 tonight.
