Thursday, October 1, 2020 - Tar, burnt rubber, ash, black currant, dark plum, shaved pencil, vanilla turning into toffee, forest floor, moist bark. Delicious fruit on the palate, super intense busting blackberries but with a savoury umami component of animal fat. Very dense in the mid-palate. Components aren't integrated as yet but each of them is sensational. The finish almost rains on your palate. Wow.

10/7/2020 6:38:00 AM - Enjoy! I think it’s a great idea to open one in its youth like this. It can still be enjoyed even though it will get so much better. Unfortunately, I only have 1 more but I do have a full case of the Volcanic Hill 16 so looking forward to trialing that in the near future.

10/7/2020 6:44:00 AM - I started buying up some of the classic labels based on the suggest of a MS friend. So far I have not been disappointed in the more classic style of wine making. I scoped up 5 of these bottles so I need to dive into one early.
