97 Points

Monday, October 12, 2020 - This wine is fantastic, it reminds me so much of the 2013 Myriad Georges III on release. Beautiful dark cherry and black berry fruits, cream de cassis, a tad of acidity with excellent fruit purity and extraction. Just a solid wine and so good, a wine that is truly under the radar. I guess you can tell, I love it. 96++ Points.

10/12/2020 10:41:00 AM - Great note Yack! I had a very similar experience with the 2016. Since 12C was changing owners late spring of this year, I have not been able to locate their website. Do you have any insight? Thanks

10/12/2020 11:09:00 AM - Good question, I talk to Leah about that back in June, but I don't have any insight on that. If I find out I will pass it on.

10/16/2020 3:41:00 PM - Yack, I received my shipment of Myriad today and called Leah to get her perspective on aging of each label. I also asked her about 12C. The new owners of 12C have renamed their wine "Perchance Estates". Leah said she tasted the 2018 recently and it is the same 12C profile. Cheers Dan.

10/16/2020 3:54:00 PM - Thanks for the intel, C123. Can you share what she said about each label and aging? Mine arrived today as well.

10/16/2020 4:01:00 PM - #1, Leah said that their wines are a little backwards in that the Elysian and Empyrean are normally ready 1-2 years ahead of the standard Crane and G3. She had the first two at 2 years out and the other two 3 years out. Steltzner at 3+ years. Myriad cab, rest from shipping and drink. Hope this helps. Cheers

10/16/2020 4:32:00 PM - Thanks cablover123 (Dan). I inquired of Mike about the New owners of the 12C label and he mention that he wasn't aware of them having a website currently and yes, I think that Leah assessments of the Myriad 2018 was spot on. In my opinion, the Peterson appellation showed the best.

10/16/2020 4:58:00 PM - Yack, they do have a website, however, they have little information on it. They are interested in getting interested consumers information at this time. I did submit my interest. The website is Perchance estates. I already received an email and they are releasing in November.

10/26/2020 4:23:00 PM - Yack, Perchance Estates (formerly 12C) posted their G3 on their website. (Clears throat) They are proud versus the market. Apparently it will be available to order in November.

11/14/2020 5:57:00 AM - Are you guys going to purchase Perchance? It's the same vineyard, same winemaker, but they essentially doubled the price. It has nice and better packaging than 12C but I don't like to pay for packaging and/or marketing. I like to pay for the juice :)

11/14/2020 7:47:00 AM - If it becomes available in the secondary market for a competitive price, I would consider it, but I'm not in on the offering. That 2016 12c Cabernet Sauvignon G3 Reserve Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard was a delight.

11/14/2020 7:54:00 AM - I keep looking at the offering, but, I am having a difficult time ordering a few. To your point, it is way above market price for this vineyard. Strange that Mike owns Myriad and makes both wines and the new owners of Perchance appear to have ignored.
