Saturday, February 11, 2023 - After a slightly rough takeoff, the Vietti smoothed out after it reached cruising altitude. Great concentration of dark fruit, excellent acidity and firm but integrated tannins. Those at the table more familiar with Barolo than I said it’s in its early peak stage. Impressive stuff but I don’t think I could identify it blind as Nebbiolo.
