Tuesday, December 22, 2020 - Great dessert wines are one of life’s secret pleasures. Not enough people seem to try them all the better for those of us that do regularly. Whilst this wine is everything you would expect with powerful dry fruits on the nose, a really clear deep amber colour in the bottle, in the mouth it is so intense and unctuous with amazing length .
I prefer something with just a little more lift and some freshness, rather less cloying but you certainly not be complaining.
Over 2 nights my wife drank most of this 375ml and I most of the Doisy-Daene 2011
