Wednesday, July 6, 2016 - Old Inglenooks (White Bear Lake, MN): Medium brick red throughout. PNP and filtered into decanter. 3oz pour over an hour. Still held some interest at first, started to break down after about 20 minutes. The nose has dried red fruits, dried cherry, brown sugar, and then develops a distinct celery root note as it comes apart. The palate is quite light bodied, dried red fruits, sour cherry, tart cherry, old leather, resolved tannins, olive tapenade, still some good acid, medium- short finish. Fun to try and interesting, but barely keeping its head above water.
