Interesting wine. Crisp and subtle, with light pear and rice/grain flavors on a mineral base. Somewhat short, but harmonious and refreshing. I can see this working well with oysters.

Bought for five bucks as a curiosity. Well more than worth it. At least on the first night, not past its prime at all. Thin but refreshing. Agree with the review about mild sauv blanc and jasmine.

Light-bodied and subtle; anyone who expects a wine to beat them over the head with flavor will be disappointed. I found this Koshu to be a bit like a very mild sauvignon blanc enhanced by an intriguing jasmine aroma. I recommend serving it with only a slight chill to enhance the aromas and flavors and to prevent the acidity from dominating.

Very floral nose (honeysuckle?). Crisp, extremely light body, notes of pear, lychee, and citrus pith, along with other unidentified fruity flavors (but all VERY mild). This wine is too subtle for me... Second night, I was disappointed to find it had not turned into a riesling. Instead it had turned into a watered-down sauvignon blanc. Overall impression, there are some unusual and interesting flavors but they're too weak/watery.

Drunk over 2 nights. On the first night the nose displayed a faint but unmistakable banana candy aroma that carried through on to the palate. Dry and with a very light mid palate that doesn't threaten more subtle foods, with a refreshing acidic edge. On the second night the banana candy had given way to wonderful combination of pears with lychee and peach hints, while the finish and acidic edge remained as fresh as on the first night.

Bought after reading about it in asimov's column. Fun wine, almost tastes like a 7-up that's not sweet.

Interesting. Nose of honey. Palate a bit thin. Certainly quenches your thirst, but nothing too remarkable here.

What the Heck Did I buy From Garagiste?!? (My home - Chicago IL): Koshu from Japan. Ok floral aroma, simple and pleasant flavors. Nice refreshing citrus notes. Drink young.
