Iron Horse Russian Cuvee is a go-to favorite for informal celebrations and "let's have some 'champagne'" nights. Small bubbles and a smooth, easy style have garnered positive reviews even from friends who claim to dislike sparkling wine.

Enjoyed with salsa. Bright straw color. Good tight bubbles. Lemon lime and mushy apple. Aggressive fruit start which bleeds off into a buttery yeast. Finishes moderately dry but does not clean up all that well on the back end.

Caramel, vanilla, and warmed milk on the nose, opens to a rich creamy mouth feel with sweet mandarin orange and vanilla custard on the palate. Drink now!!

Dry and light, this is a nice bubbly, although every time I have it I remember that there are other bubbles I like as much or more that don't cost as much ...

Nose: Flower and minerality. Taste: Barely a hint of sweetness (id still call it dry, but its right on the border). Better intensity of flavor than in my previous note, more of a finish as well (almost, maybe ginger? turnip?) very root like flavor. considerably better than my previous note.

A bit sweeter than hoped. Still very good. Needs to open up a bit. Second half of bottles were much better. Had as an apertif both times. Great, but least favorite Iron Horse experience. Still, would buy again...

Fair yeast and pear on the nose, which carries over to the palate. This is a well balanced, structurally sound sparkler with tiny bubbles however, the '06 seems watered down. Fundamentally good nose and flavors but dilute.

Slightly off-dry with hints of tropical fruit, citrus, and pear or green apple on the nose. Full and rich with a creaminess on the palate with sublime yeast. Long lingering bubbles

Delicious. Less yeasty than I expected given the age and the extra year en tirage. But a delicious and rich bubbly, as expected.

Yum. Yeasty, rich, tasty, still definitely a brut. Will definitely enjoy the bottle that's been on the lees one year longer.

Nice berry notes reflecting the 75% PN; rich, sponge cake aspect; very foamy, full bodied with good chalky minerality; very solid.

Nose: minerality, some green flower. Taste: simple, a hint of sweetness. Disappointing relative to other iron horse sparklers I've had.
