A good example of mature Châteauneuf, with raisiny fruit and a touch of spice, good weight and length. The last of a case bought earlier in the year which has served us very well.

A dark colour; quite full, spicy, blackberryish fruit with mature overtones; slightly sweet and well rounded. An attractive Châteauneuf for current drinking.

A dark colour; quite full, with plenty of dark fruit, but with a somewhat rough edge to it. Less harmonious than the first bottle. May soften up a little in time.

Damask dark plum-red - just beginning to fade at edge, no browning. Nose: rich black berry fruits: blackberry, mulberry, blackcurrant; some liquorice, some spice (mace), apple and cloves. Nedium-full, tannins softened, good depth and width of flavour (see above). What I want in a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Great length.

Sweet black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant and dried herbs. To taste it’s got all that lovely rich black fruit, dried rosemary and other Provençal herbs. Nice weight, not too big and lovely balance.

Pungent sweet plum and black fruit aromas. The taste of this wine is absolutely delicious, lots of ripe blackcurrant and berry fruits, spices, warming as it goes down, some bruised fruit sourness on the savoury, tapenade finish.

Wine Education Service - Châteauneuf du Pape and Satellites (LSE): Translucent, a hint of age. Light, elegant, fruity nose, a hint of green vegetables, complex and lovely. There's a lot of alcohol here but the fruit carries the day, lovely mid palate smoothness, pretty long, drinking well now and will continue to please over the next five years.

Drank as part of a Grenache tasting: Decanted for 2 hours prior to tasting. Closed nose, not giving much fruit or interest up to the nose. Taste was similarly muted. Quaffable, but really quite plain for the price. In retrospect I'm now convinced that this bottle was flawed.

Very ripe, concentrated, and ready to go within 2 hours (1.5+ is essential). Drink or hold. Could benefit from further ageing. This is a decent example of 2009. A good match to rack of lamb (consider the sweet/syrupy/ripe nature when matching with food; I wouldn't match with subtle dishes).

Lots of fruit for sure on the nose. Sweet cotton candy on the palate. Some herbs, lavender, and dusty sweetness. 88 with potential for 91 after it settles down a bit.

Ripe, clean fruit and spices, perfectly absorbed oak, more lifted aromatics than the Senecheaux 2009, elegant and silky, not very big but with sufficient stuffing, good length.

This is still very good, fully mature with plum and raisin fruit, like Christmas cake. Perhaps just starting to fade a little.

Quite full and spicy, with a slightly syrupy element (which I rather like). At its peak now.

An attractive, nicely mature, slightly earthy Châteauneuf, the fruit still quite vigorous, with a little sweetness and spice. Medium length.

Quite a full colour, with full and rich dark fruit on the palate, plus some tar and spice. Perhaps a little earthy, but a good example.

Quite a deep colour, not showing undue age; ripe, spicy, dark-fruited, nicely rounded and very attractive for current drinking.

Big ripe flavours with some sweetness. Still quite primary. I preferred the Gauby VV 2002 tasted alongside.

A decent CNdP. Nothing to shout about here. Well made offering everything you'd expect from a wine from this producer and region.
