75 min decant. Medium bodied, not much fruit up front, above average balance and finish. Some spice. Certainly in prime and will continue to hold for a few more years.

Well rounded and balanced. Nice fruit (light berries) notes with a great finish - Ready to drink now or within 1 to 2 years (no longer) The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It tastes like raspberry, fig, dust, medium toast, rose and sherry. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Bordeaux in the Black Hills Inaugural Blind Tasting Event (Our Home): #6. Served double-blind in Riedel Vinum XL Cabernet glass. Dark garnet robe. Nose of eucalyptus and plum. Decent intensity and concentration. Good acidity with a reasonable finish. The most simple though disjointed of the group. 88. My #6, Group #6

Poured triple blind. Jerky, plum, smoke, brown sugar, tomato leaf, tarragon nose that was layered and intricate right out of the gate. Sweet plummy palate, luscious, soft and inviting, kiss of deft oak. This was immediately appealing and the most interesting wine on the table but suffered as soon as we tasted the other wines with food. No one even mentioned Cabernet, which I think is pretty damning. The longer it was open the sweeter and simpler and low acid it appeared.

Tasted blind. Raspberry puree, graham cracker, white pepper, and potting soil on the nose. Really creamy palate with coffee and mocha notes. White pepper floats over berry pie. Very layered. The first half was better than the second. It seemed a little out of place in the context of drinking three dry Italian reds alongside it. I recommend enjoying this wine by itself, without food, and I think its complexity will really come through. I had no idea what this was. A very unique Napa Cab.

Popped and poured at Ruth Chris- this needs about 20 min. Verrry smooth and above average balance, average finish and medium bodied- unfortunately this is on the decline. Certainly in prime and should be drank by 2016. Average value. Drink up.

very very smooth - introduced about 45 min of air in the glass before drinking - very nice mix of light purple fruit and soft tannins.. very refined for a "california cab".. looking forward to the last bottle in about 1-2 years..

Purple, almost to the edge showing very little lightening considering it's age. Nose of dark cherry, leather, and a hint of spiciness/tobacco. Those follow through to the palate and, after an hour of decanting, merged nicely. Not an overpowering Napa cab, but very nice with a medium plus finish.

Excellent! This is not a typical fruit bomb Napa cab. We noticed a lot of savoury notes. The black fruit took the back burner to olives, sweet tobacco, leather, savoury herbs. The tannins are silky allowing a nice finish. No astringency at all. We popped and poured. There was no need to decant. Wine of the night!

For a wine at this price, a bit disappointing. A little green at the beginning. As it opened, a backdrop of tar was present. It eventually improved but no elegance whatsoever. Fruit notes were totally muted.

This wine has a green character to it that softens over time but remains prominent. Eventually the fruit and oak reveals itself, but leaves me wanting more. Full bodied with a medium-long finish. There is plenty of better wine out there for this price.

Dark garnet color with just a hint of orange thrown in. Beautiful classic cabernet sauvignon nose with just enough oak influence to complement the aromas. Excellent palate of fruit flavors. Acids and tannins are very well balanced. Just a little hot on the finish and I expect this wine to improve further with age. (62 vi

The wines of Jarvis (Minneapolis): A nice effort with spice, cherry, minerals and plum. Good structure and firm tannins. The oak is present but not a dominate feature of the wine. Medium finish and should drink well for a decade.

Very good wine, well balanced and smooth. Tasted red berries and some wood. Definitely a stand alone wine. Decanting not really necessary

Earth, leather, spice at first. After two hours breathing, all of these features harmonized beautifully with a red fruit finish. Amazing wine.

Elegant earthy style with leather and dried currant. Seems to hold the character of sun drenched soil with a rich fruit finish and soft tannings.
