Alt tilgitt dag 2; nydelig!

Great representation/typicity for Pomerol. Earthy aromas. Velvety entry. Dark berry melange, mushrooms and graphite. Powdery tannins. Great with grilled filet mignon. 94

Feytit Clinet 2010, which I drank alongside the 2019. In the nose, the wine was showing first some truffle notes and cooked plum notes. After an hour in the glass or so, the nose was overpowered by oak which I first didn’t perceive. The palate is very pleasant but the tannins are bit rough, together with higher acidity. I don’t see it improving a lot from here and is definitely less yielding then his younger brothers. A really enjoyable wine, but definitely there has been a step up in recent vintages especially 2016 and 2019.
Edit Day 2: definitely improved, maybe the wine needs some more cellaring to come together again. Going to burry my last bottles for some years.

Decanted 2.5 hours and drank over another hour along with a 2010 Canon la Gaffeliere for Christmas dinner of Prime Rib. Dark black color. Terroir is simply amazing. Dark fruits, must, forest floor, mushrooms, leather & tobacco. An excellent Pomerol. Lots of extraction & flavor layers. That being said I still like the StE better but it is a matter of preference.

Fine and thoroughly enjoyable wine, drinking well right now. I would not hold. It is not, to me, fruit driven as others describe. Rather, it is initially dominated by granny tannins and quickly comes into a nice balance. Best after about an hour.

A very solid showing. Lovely nose which is a Napa Bordeaux hybrid and the US comparisons don’t end there. Rich fruit with a nice open and softer merlot profile. Some cab franc in mix I believe which shows up on the finish. Deep and dark and rather good. Decanted for about 4 hours but very approachable and I’m sure has plenty of good drinking years ahead.

Drank over two days. Full body. First day nose of blackberry compote, but also some alcohol aroma as well. Palate of black fruit with a bit of tar. Good acidity and some lively tannin. First day, finish last few seconds with some bitters at the end. Second day the nose contained less alcohol and more compote with tar, palate to match and the bitterness had subsided a good deal, short-medium finish. Clearly a refined wine, and I think it might be better in a year or two. Not over 92 in my humble opinion.
My last bottle and no regrets. Singing with loaded fruit and then savory core. Exactly what I want in this style / caliber of Pomerol and delightful with lamb spicy fruit couscous.

Yes, 97. After a two-hour decant, this was singing. A gorgeous nose. Great fruit and complexity. A big wine for a Pomerol, but not at all overdone. I don't know what else you could want from a Pomerol. This will last for years, but I find it hard to believe that it will get any better. Absolutely delicious.

In contrast to the recent TNs on this wine that I enjoyed reading, I've found the wine tasting overly modern and excessively opulent over several hours of decanting. Uber rich and concentrated fruit that is similar to many modern-style St. Emillions and some Napa blends these days. High-quality fruit for sure and the nose was delightful, but not enough acidity and structure to my taste. It still has some unresolved tannins that benefited from air, hence on some level it should improve over the next few years.

Flowers, plums, dark chocolate, smoke, licorice and black cherry with a hint of tobacco on the nose move you to the full-bodied, silky, lush, polished, fresh, vibrant palate. Opulent, lively, dark chocolate covered plums, black cherries and spearmint get better and better in the glass. This is still young and if you can wait another 5-8 years, this is going to be a markedly improved wine. It is not likely you are going to find a better Pomerol for the money. If you do, let me know about it.
Pop and pour. Heavy glass agitation for 30 minutes. Subtle nose of dark red fruit and wet forest floor...almost like moss. On the palate it is pretty much closed for business. Subtle fruit, pepper and faint chocolate. I am not touching the rest of these for a couple years.
update...after 3 hours in the glass this really started to shine. Well balanced fruit and tannin began to pop. The wine is a baby, but everything is there.

Lovely wine. Subtle nose, almost too mute but more than made up for with incredible texture and presence. Texture like old leather. Fruit driven and a zaftig element. Really wonderful stuff.

There is no better wine for the money today from Pomerol than Feytit Clinet. And 2010 is their best vintage to date with its black cherry, plum, floral and earthy aromas. The soft, round, silky textures are a treat. Good now, better with age.
Bibendum Bordeaux 2010 tasting including selected back vintages (Lords Cricket Ground - St Johns Wood, London): Havig missed the 2009 en primeur campaign, but managing to get around a lot of 2008 at this time, I am completely amazed by the difference in power, acidity and tannic quality in this vintage. The feytit clinet is another that is jumping out of the glass. Full power, tones of bite, and lovely fruit. Can't ask for much more really...91-93

Feytit Clinet - Dense in color, chocolate covered black fruit, blueberry, plum and truffles make up the perfume. Dense, rich, fat, suave and polished, this rich wine offers length, persistence, balance and purity of flavor. 92-94 Pts
