By the glass at Marta in NYC; from magnum. Nose is fruity, ripe, some Cabernet notes like mint and graphite but it’s more new world than bordeaux. Palate is a little more Cabernet-forward, quite minty, gravelly, red currant, grippy tannins. Has some Italy influences though too, lots of acidity and a sort of green strawberry note on the finish. Maybe not life-changing but a fun btg option.

Pnp from a mag. Dark red fruits with some hints of leather on the nose. The palate's pretty much evolved with the same dark red fruits and leather and am getting hints of some greenness to it as well; somewhat disjointed with awright finish. Not a bad price for a magnum, but I won't be going out of my way to acquire another one. 87-88 pts.

Christmas Dinner (Novi, MI): From magnum. Fairly well evolved, with minimal fruit and showing significant secondary characteristics of leather and tar. The finish was short and this was not distinctive in any way. This was the 1st of 8 bottles opened, but it was not finished, representing the group's least favorite wine of the night. Still an ok value for Italian cab. Drink soon.

well balanced, nice integrated tannins. Really a decent wine at $30 for a magnum. I would expect this to be fine for 10 more years and perhaps improve, but not much chance of degradation soon.

from magnum. popped and decanted. this followed a more structured Cab/merlot blend so at first seemed a little boring, but this resolved after a few sips. all in all was just what the occasion (dinner at our neighbors) called for. respectable. Right at home with braised beef brisket. will enjoy my remaining bottles in similar fashion.

This was really good for the purpose it served. I opened this for my family christmas dinner last Sunday. Chose this because it was a magnum. I bought from Garagiste and I thought this was a great purchase. There were 8 of us and after a couple of starter bottles this was the perfect amount for everyone. Not all are serious wine drinkers so the ones who are not really thought it was great while those of us who are thought it was very good. We had a standing rib roast on the BGE. The wine was great, red fruit, smooth soft tannins, nice finish. Drinking well....not sure how much longer this is built for, but it was my impression that we were right in the heart of the drinkability window. I don't think it is going to show much better with age.

This is fine, some dark red and blue fruit with a hint of over-ripeness. Drained from a mag at Thanksgiving dinner.

Perhaps we drank this a little early but no way it's a 90 point wine - maybe 85-86.

The WA review sounds about right to me. Taken to a party where it fit right in.
