Nez très intense, fruité (griotte) et épicé. Bouche fraîche et énergique, d'une grande intensité aromatique et d'un équilibre parfait. Très belle tenue pour ce vin complexe et racé.

90-91 range. Splash decanted and enjoyed with leftover grilled chicken & brown rice. Red currants, strawberry, cranberry on nose with similar fruit profile on palate. Medium body, some minerality / wet stone, high acidity (very bright fruit profile) & medium+ finish. Great food wine. Really enjoyed and would buy again. Very good value and excellent Summer wine to pair with BBQ.

Fairly dark in color. Nice dank aromas, like a musty old cellar, the underside of a mushroom growing in old growth, briar, a slight notion of white asparagus stalks and a rusty nail. Very interesting and enticing. Similar on the palate, very rustic, more rusty flavors, nice funky red fruits, burning mushrooms, and an interesting slightly frothy texture as it moves around the mouth. Nice acid on the finish with flavors of minerals, bright sour cranberry, and metallic tasting fish skin.. but really it's like you just chewed up a bunch of quartz. Very nice stuff, and a fantastic change of pace. What a wild ride.

Somewhat dark with attractive red berries and blossoms. Light on the palate with ample acidity and freshness. Nicely gaining complexity with several hours air time. Looking forward to sampling again in a few years. Good value from Weygandt.

A great drink for roughly $20. Poured blind at a >$40 group and nobody had an issue. Some though good Burg and others Northern Rhone. What do you know, it's Beaujolais! Tangy berry fruit with refreshing acidity and great, stoney minerality on the back. I would have scored higher, but the midpalate was not up to par with everything else. It probably needed some more air as this wine is tightly coiled up.

Meaty, fresh, energetic with great balance. Very sad to see this was my last bottle. At 8 years, this wine was not losing steam.

Medium purple color. Medium body. Simple, with lots of fruit, some earthiness, but no depth or complexity. Decent, drinkable, but not exciting.

Weygandt Selections - Annual Portfolio Tasting (Astor Place - New York, NY): Really exciting wine. So mineral driven it felt like you were chewing on gravel. Nice violet, lilac, and raspberry tones too. Very enjoyable.
